I love Houston's. The service is always top-notch with courteous and professional servers who are attentive and friendly, it's always a pleasant dining experience. Of course, the food is high quality and delicious as well, so you cannot go wrong here. The cocktails are also very good by the way. I had a very tasty mojito. I always get the spinach dip with chips. It is the best spinach dip I have ever had and cannot resist ordering this every time. I had the trout special and it was really good! Our table also ordered the Hawaiian steak and the Asian noodle salad. All were delicious! The only negative might be the difficulty to get a reservation on the day and time you want because the reservation spots fill up fast! And, if you end up walking in without a rez, you could find a long wait. I had reservations, but heard the hostess telling people walking in that the wait was about 45 minutes. It's just a testament to its popularity though. I have never had a bad experience here because Houston's prides itself on high quality food and service and are committed to maintaining high standards. Keep up the good work Houstons!
JUST AN FYI to anyone dining at Houstons - They are not allowed to tell you if there are any upcharges for substitutions, so be very clear on what you are ordering. We asked for seltzer with no ice and they double charged us - $8 for a glass of basically water. Also a baked potato is a $2 upcharge even though we asked them if it can be substituted. After speaking to a waitress and a manager they both said sorry nothing we can do we were floored. Talking about a $6 debate. They wouldnt even hear of it and say this is our policy. Then the executive manager TODD MARTIN came over who was rude, condescending and dismissive and told us he will refund the $6 but we can never come back to that restaurant again!!! We thought we were being punked. It was so crazy the way they handled everything. BUYER BEWARE!!

They do have rules to keep things flowing like.
1. Must leave after 2 hours
2. No parties of 6 and no parties of 5 at night.
