You would never expect some really good food from the exterior look. It not a restaurant but a grocery store that sell prep food dishes. Food is made fresh daily. Friendly service. Some minimal seating for quick eats for locals lunch time. Parking is limited in the back. For the price of a processed value meal across the fast food place, I rather get some freshly cooked home style flavorful Latin food.
Stopped in for a snack while waiting for the train (it’s right by Essex Street Station). The maduros were some of the best plantains I’ve ever had. The empanada and Arepitas de Maíz were also pretty good.
They have the best soup! Please please please keep this soup just the way it is!!! I looked all over for this soup when they were closed and nobody had like them it was disgusting heart breaking I'm feeling under weather and this soup brings me back to life!!!! I will buy this soup even if I was sick!!! Omg please keep this soup love love it !!!! I don't even eat soup outside cause t taste so digesting and it's always so watery but not this soup I give this soup...
