Was recommended to this restaurant. And had a terrible experience with the food quality. The white rice was hard. The fried chicken tasted like fish. She told us it was better than Popeyes 😝. Spend over 80$ for my family. They forgot my empanada and charge me for it. And she had a little attitude when we were ordering. That’s why Puerto Rican restaurants don’t last because complacency. Am Boricua my self. The. Waiting for the food I seen a roach 🪳 on the floor. Sorry for this review but had to do it because we spend money and had a bad experience

total disappointment with 2 simple alcaporrias. waited for 20 minutes during lunch hour and was presented like they were cheese sticks. wt?? paid lot of money to top it off. i left to work, then bit into uncooked food. disgusting 🫣. another establishment lost a customer.

I went here to eat lunch for the first time. Asked for a lunch special and an empanada. I sit down to eat and a few minutes into it see a cockroach going under my table, then a few baby roaches. I had already eaten half of my food so I just told the staff very nicely. That was followed by them charging me $21.50. I felt repulsed and ripped off. Needless to say, never again. Sad because the pernil was tasty.

I catered my daughter's birthday with food from Old San Juan, and it was a hit!! Everyone loved the food, and they came back for seconds, some even thirds. I'm so happy I was able to make everyone's day. We had baked chicken, rice and peas, and their avocado salad with sweet plantains. If you've never been to this restaurant, please check them out they have some really delicious food!!! I'm always stopping in for takeout, too!!

They must've changed owners or chefs. I've always gotten good flavorful food from here..last night I ordered $75 worth of for my me and my family. I ordered 2 hours before closing so there was no excuse for what I received. It looks like they rushed to put food together. Everything is still untouched. Habichuelas tasted like NOTHING and weren't fully cooked. Beef stew was flavorless and dry, with no gravy in the plate. The Mofongo was completely flavorless not even salt.. EVERYTHING was dry and flavorless. The ONE flavor that was very distinct was FISH. We did not order anything with fish or seafood because we don't eat it. Yet everything I tasted had a horrible fishy taste to it. Thats called cross contamination.
