?Tropical Hut in Maywood, NJ. Tropical Hut in @boroughofmaywood Maywood, NJ offers authentic Filipino food that is made fresh daily. Every time I’m in town I have to stop and get Lechon Kawali and Pork Barbecue ? There is some seating in the back but it’s really a market type of feel. Everyone is nice and friendly! It's not the Tropical Hut fast food guys. He is delicious. The lumpia sometimes gets stretched. The noodles are delicious. I hope the servings are bigger, we're in the US, let's stick to the American size.Note: your order must be above $10 if you want to use a card. Otherwise, bring cash.Only a few seats tbh.But happy to have filipino food at ~mheyweuuud~ (in American accent. Charez)

My first time at this establishment as I was looking around I found many varieties of Filipino hot foods . In my excitement I stated to the server it's my first Time thinking he would explain if there was a special or a specific way to order or name the hot foods they offered however the server just stared at me like I was inconveniencing him. So I shyly asked what a couple of the items were since it wasn't labeled. He said sweet chicken to one and another pork feet . Not wanting to inconvenience him anymore I just order a half pound of each and went to the cashier , I asked for hot sauce and he gave me Chinese take out hot sauce packets . I was not noticed for about 5 min in the check out line . But then when I was, I paid and was never welcomed in any way. However I noticed with other Filipino natives they were very welcoming . They do offer various delicacies and sweets and super market items which was awesome. Once I tried the pork feet with sweet sauce I found many hairs in the pork which I guess is norm for pork but I didn't like that. And the hot sweet chicken was alright. They have 15 min parking spots outside. Next time I would just go for the prepackaged cakes and frozen section.

What an amazing restaurant/shopping.I always love to get Filipino food, especially coming from Tropical Hut. I walked inside and basically like a tiny supermarket with food, wow, it made me feel happy. I got my food and I have to say, this is a place worth coming back to after what I ate! The flavoring of how everything tasted was spectacular.Service was good! Staff are very friendly and are working real hard to keep the food fresh and customer satisfaction to be positive, however, it is a bit complex for the staff to understand what you want to order as they might tend to get confused, but that is no issue.Atmosphere was good as well! The sitting area is so cute. Very tiny area with quite literally 4 tables. Music in the background was definitely very fitting and gotta say, bathroom was solid clean, something to always make sure about restaurantsOverall, this restaurant was a solid 8/10. This is a place I would come back to for some more food again as it is clean and has some real good food, I wouldn’t have it as like a dinner, but maybe would have it as like a quick lunch to have and go but otherwise, I would definitely order from here again!Parking: Street Parking out in the front. Couldn’t tell if it was paid street parking.

Came here to get my wife some food for lunch. They have a very LIMITED selection. All meat no veggies, I asked if they have some veggies in the back and ate told me that they are cooking Chop Suey and it will take 30 mins.So I waited and ended up getting some food for myself. After 30 mins I came up and asked ate how much longer she checked and said there nothing cooking. I wasted time waiting for mediocre and overpriced food.If you have other options go there the quality of their food is very low.

We catered 21 trays for my daughters first birthday party 8/8/23—- literally everyone was raving & drooling !!!!! Love love love this restaurant! I would 100%%%% recommend ! Also I wished the green beans were cut in the pancit, wasn’t really appropriate in a dish to share with plenty of people .& a downside is they don’t deliver :( but for sureeee worth the trip!Grilled Pork belly bbq, calamari , caldereta, menudo, igado, beef steak, giniling, shrimp fried rice , sisig, pancit…
