Went to the Viva Margarita in Hackensack for lunch today. As usual the food was quite good. The problem was the music was so loud we had to yell in order to be heard while trying to have a conversation. There were other people around us trying to have a conversation also and you could hear them shouting at each other. I asked Fernando, the boss, to lower the music and he said he couldn’t because it needed to be loud so people could dance. It was a Saturday afternoon, people appeared to be there to have lunch and conversation not dance. Actually in the entire time we were there no one got up to dance. Guess we won’t be going back there for lunch next week.
I had the opportunity to visit Viva Margarita for the company's annual luncheon, and although the wait for the food was a bit long, possibly due to the size of our group, the overall experience was very positive.
The food was delicious, with well-executed flavors, and the drinks were up to par, perfect to accompany the occasion. In addition, our waitress stood out for her attention and excellent attitude, always willing to help us with a smile.
In short, a nice place to enjoy good food and an excellent atmosphere, even at events with large groups.

Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Welcoming atmosphere and service was nice. Lost a star due to a faulty dish, but other than that, I'll go again.
Kid-friendliness: Kids will enjoy the variety of colors and decorations.

Hate to leave this review, but I took my best friend here for her birthday over the weekend and be with got food posing. Completely different meals. Please check you kitchen and pantry. We vomited for a good 24 hours after eating here. Also each had one drink... check the ice machine too.
Overall we loved everything about this place and enjoyed ourselves until about an hour after we left. No one else around us got sick so it wasn't a bug.
I was really looking forward to coming back but I don't know if I'd risk it now.

I’ve visited this place very often since they opened. I’ve never waited for a table yet alone, have any issues with the food. Well, first time for everything. Recently, I invited two friends to taco Tuesday happy hour. I ordered what I always ordered in the past, only to be told by a server I’ve never had before, “you can’t mix tacos.” Understanding he may be new or something, he said he would check with the manager. I agreed, especially since I’ve “mixed” tacos many many times before and NEVER had any issues. He came back and said “manager said no.” So I didn’t order and spend my money. Not once did the manager ever stop over to resolve anything either. I’ll never return. In a world where Mex restaurants are a dime a dozen, enough of these experiences will end in them closing.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Viva Margherita. I visited recently and was excited to try a few items from their menu, which had been advertised at specific prices on their website and in-store menu. However, when the bill came, I was shocked to see that the prices were significantly higher than what was listed.
When I brought this up to the staff, they claimed that the prices had been updated recently, but the website and the physical menu still reflected the old prices. I politely asked if they could honor the advertised prices, as the discrepancy was clearly their error, but the manager refused and insisted I pay the inflated charges.
I understand that prices can change, but when there's such a clear discrepancy between what is advertised and what’s being charged, it’s very frustrating as a customer. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve the issue left a sour taste and made me feel like I was being taken advantage of.
I won’t be returning, and I strongly encourage the restaurant to update their menus to reflect accurate pricing and be more transparent with customers.
Not worth the hassle!

Waiter never brought us water we asked for so we had to go to bar to get it. He messed up my order and never even said sorry. He never came over to ask if everything was ok.
