Fujiyama Fine Japanese Restaurant

We came for a birthday dinner a few months ago and left very disappointed. The chef rushed through the hibachi show and didn’t seem engaged. At one point, as part of the show, he started slapping raw chicken on the grill with his spatula, spraying chicken juice onto us and our clothes. My boyfriend was visibly uncomfortable, but instead of stopping, the chef moved toward him and continued splashing chicken juice in his direction as if it were a joke. My boyfriend kept his composure to avoid ruining the vibe for his friend’s birthday. I’ve been to many hibachis in the past and I’ve never seen anything like that as part of the show.

Raw chicken can carry salmonella, so being splattered with it all over our faces was not only gross but a serious food safety concern. What should have been a fun night turned into an uncomfortable and unsanitary experience. I hope management addresses this so future guests don’t go through the same.

Would not recommend this place for sushi. They are really cheap with putting the rolls together- primarily all cucumber and minimal fish.

My husband took me here for my birthday! It was an amazing meal from start to finish. The atmosphere was quiet and serene. We ordered our appetizers.... my husband had tempura calamari and I had tempura shrimp. Both were outstanding. Then we got the sushi and sashimi for two! It was by far the best we've ever had! If you're into sushi and sashimi, this is the place you need to visit!

So amazing! Fish is sourced for taste and quality, menu is full of greatly crafted rolls, exciting flavors, and they even home make their own healthy drinks with fruit. All around a great restaurant with beautiful ambience

The best hibachi meal I've had so far. The food was flavorful! I had tofu & steak & both were yummy! I sampled my sister's lobster & it was really good too! The noodles were perfectly cooked & seasoned!!

Polite, attentive staff. Inside is never noisy and always clean. Both the higher end items and the modestly priced items are delicious, always being worth the price. Plus, you won't feel out of place redgardless of dress. Its a unique experience where you can choose between true fine dining or a casual, quality meal, and be satisfied every time.
