I got food poisoning from their shrimp lo main 🤮🤮🤮
My family loves Hunan Wok! The dishes are flavorful (and generous), the vegetables are well-cooked but never mushy, and the sauces are indulgent and well-seasoned without being heavy.
I especially love the Hot & Spicy Wontons and never need to convince anyone that we really should get two orders of them, but otherwise the challenge is deciding which other dishes to get, because we've enjoyed everything we've ever tried here.
Anyway, I'm so glad we found Hunan Wok-- wonderful chefs and very nice people!
This is for sure the best Chinese food spot in Hackettstown 😊… the Staff are sooo nice , especially the lady that is usually in the front , she treats each customer with kindness and with respect . Good portion sizes also and I appreciate the free items when I order a lot.
Asked to change veggie wasn’t a problem. The orange chicken had real u rs of or he that really made the dish. Also coating/breading on chicken was mostly meat, a welcome change, also gave an extra soup. Shrimp roll was perfectly cooked and oil was fresh and fry le el was browned but not overcooked. Will be going back.
First time i went they forgot to cook my food after paying for it so i had to wait another 15 mins. Second and last time going there, soon as I walked in she asked if I ordered the chicken wings. Reported and ban.
Love their noodle soup specialties!!! Delicious!!!
Ok I'm a stickler when food is labeled pt or qt. The Quart Chow Fun container measures 24 oz to the brim. If overfilled it may get to 32 oz. But it was not overfilled. I've seen this as a trend in Chinese restaurants in the area. So Your Kitchen Hampton is the the better value for regular dishes.
I loved the establishment under the prior owner a few years ago. But currently it's not for me with other options around.
Had Beef Chow Fun and Chicken Eggplant garlic sauce. Chow Fun was loaded with beef, but dish is not a quart. Same with chicken eggplant garlic sauce. Both tasted on the sweeter side for me than expected. Egg Plant was Chinese eggplant vs western variety which is a plus.

Got food poisoning tried to talk to the owner to get a refund got told no no it was something wrong I did and nothing is wrong with their food. I have eaten at the location in Warren county and had no issues with getting sick. Stay clear.

The food was delicious and fast to get. The workers are nice and have a smile the whole time. The only thing that was lacking was the atmosphere. The place looks boring and not cheerful.

Amazing food, usually Chinese food can make my stomach a little bit upset but this place has been perfect and consistent… so far i haven’t had an upset stomach from it, the staff are very polite and even gave us some free extras! The food is great, and the general tsos specifically is exceptional.

The food was good And the wife was nice and friendly The husband gave me looks and rolled his eyes because I must have asked too many question If they want less questions Like what comes in the pu pu plater Put it on the menu And put out on the counter the sizes Of containers mark so you can see What a small med large container Looks like if they change those two things I am willing to give them a second chance
I last ate there 21yrs ago. last night it was nothing like it used to be. it was very hot in the restaurant and no Mongolian BBQ options. I took my oldest cause that's where her dad 1st took me to ear when i was pregnant with her
A local family run Chinese restaurant. The food is always very tasty, well prepared, and fresh. They have a wide ranging menu and everything we have tried from fried chicken wings to Singapore Mei fun has been delicious. We love coming here for takeout after a road trip because it is so delicious and a terrific value as well.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. You’ll probably see the owners kids there too!
