Food is average, service is good, but the place itself is going downhill. The back/side room has loose tables and smells like cheap cleaning products.

Food was amazing and the server was great
Prime rib was not tender. Salt shakers have such small holes, you can hardly get any salt out of them. French fries were hot and crispy.

As always the food the River Star Diner was exceptional. The staff as always are wonderful and a joy to interact with. If you are in the vicinity I highly recommend the River Star Diner. This time I got the Western Omlette, and it was thoroughly enjoyable.

I usually love this diner, but not today . I had the famous Reuben. Well the rye bread was good. 5 slices of tough corn beef and very little sauerkraut and the slices of Swiss cheese weren't even melted. Oh and not any thousand island dressing . But they put it on the side . We also how to send back the onion rings because they were burnt! Very disappointed!

Very mediocre. Good salad. Also ordered Reuben sandwich and had to send it back, hardly any meat and left off Russian dressing . Oh well, good crispy fries.

Good food. Great service. Too bad not open late. Not their fault though.... The area doesn't demand it.

Came here with my family of 4 - kids ordered spaghetti, wife got a flatbread pizza, and I ordered the chicken parmigiana dinner. Salad came quick and the food took about 8 minutes to come out. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly; my wife ate all of her pizza and the chicken parmigiana was cooked to perfection. The sauce wasn't anything special - probably closest to Prego - but it was a diner not Mamma's Trattoria. Service was friendly but took a few minutes to get coffee refills due to servers being on their phones. Overall good - like I mentioned, the chicken was breaded and cooked to perfection!
