This was a really cozy and nice restaurant before the change of owners a few years back. We have visited this restaurant from time to time because the quality was not as good as it used to be. We again came to the restaurant today and this is our last visit . We entered restaurant, it had 3 waitresses a male child labor. We waited for 5 minutes with no one greeting us, finally a girl told us “she is right out”. The waitress who finally greeted us was the same person who had been standing by the counter a few minutes ago, she had saw us, stared into the air, and neglected us before she went to the back. She told us that it will be a 10-15 minutes wait….wait a minute! You have at least 6 empty tables, what you wanted me to do? This is no joke!

What a cute spot for breakfast or lunch! My daughter and I had breakfast; bread pudding French toast for me and Taylor Ham egg and cheese for her. Delish! We were ready to pay and every other table was taking scones to go. Oh course, I HAD to follow suit and get some to go. The gingerbread scone was 🔥 So yourself a favor and do what everyone else is doing... Get the scones.

Please remove the biscuits & gravy dish off your menu until the cook(s) stop using brown gravy and start using a thicker consistency sausage gravy. I know it’s NJ but it’s a southern dish and should only be made as such. Thank you.

Would not return. Service was shit. Food was decent, a little tasteless. Gave off indifferent impression. When we arrived, it was busy. Nobody greeted us but they made eye contact. Waiter never got our order right after 4 reminders for things from our original order (including an entree) and staff made it seem like we were being difficult. It was uncomfortable. Never apologized for the inconveniences. Were asked to move over so they can access a storage room in the middle of the meal… enough said. On top of that, the staff were giving smug looks as they cleared the table. Definitely rushed by every one of the staff and had to remind them to refill our waters. Everytime. Felt like we overstayed our welcome from the second we stepped in but it was recommended by a friend. 45 minutes turned into a long 1.5 hour meal. Go somewhere else if you want service with manners. Still hungry when I left. Felt like our business wasn’t appreciated but we still tipped well

A small but hidden gem in town. My boyfriend and I go there often and it’s byob! We’ve never had a bad meal, you have to try their scones and desserts!

We order the coffee , seasonal waffles, breakfast burger, a side of swiss roesti potatoes, and a side house fries. We loved everything but the swiss roesti potatoes and the fries. They were good , but the other food items were better. Service was wonderful, we were seated right away and server checked up on us a perfect amount. The establishment is very clean.

Needs fo update their hours. Used to go to stellas all the time. We came back after a few years. On their website it says they close at 2. We arrived at 1 and there was a Latina woman with red hair wiping down tables. She saw us and scoffed and said we are closed with a major attitude. Another woman in the back let us in. Others were turned away also as they were trying to close over an hour early. We love the oatmeal pancakes but not worth the disrespect.

We went on mother's day. It was packed. We got seated quickly because there were only two of us. But larger groups waited a bit more. Food and service were excellent. We took home some donuts and those were the real treats.

Wonderful staff who pay attention and respond without having to be summoned. Great smiles and upbeat attitude. Outside seating as well. Great food. Best breakfast/lunch in NJ.
