Super nice and friendly staff, clean and well-spaced dining room. We went to watch and listen to a local singer and got a great seat to listen to the music. Made a reservation ahead of time with no issues and was greeted like a VIP when we arrived. Food was great, their Smash burger is definitely worth a bite, would have liked to see some drink deals for the special event but it was a great night out.
Had my daughter's birthday years ago and was recently present at an event; yummy food, good atmosphere, and the staff is attentive, but not overbearing. Good local spot, will return.
We hosted the NJCCA Christmas Party at Taphouse Grille in Hackettstown last night (12/22/25), and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish.
The staff was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and welcoming, making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. The space was warm, inviting, and ideal for bringing together creators, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and seven amazing vendors for our NJCCA Christmas Party.
A special thank you to Chef Rob, Nataly (Owner), Caroline (Manager), Nancy (our main server), and Gio for all of their incredible help and support. The level of care and professionalism truly made a difference.
The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Our guests felt comfortable, celebrated, and well taken care of, which means everything when hosting a community-focused event like this.
I’m so grateful to the entire Taphouse Grille team for helping bring our vision to life. Highly recommend for private events, celebrations, and community gatherings. We will absolutely be back!

I was a little disappointed that in the reservation I mentioned it was my son's birthday but no one acknowledged that. Food was great seated quickly otherwise servers were attentive

Taphouse Grille food is always great! I really love the build your own burger and my husband loves their Atlantic salmon dish. Restaurant atmosphere is Nice and spacious. We also very much appreciate the simplicity of their online ordering service.

First and foremost, the recent Bluey event was a joke and a disappointment. Severely overcharged for hotel buffet-grade food and a subpar experience. Our last dinner experience was terrible. Dry turkey burger and terrible service at the bar. When Conner or Kevin are not at the bar, service is awful. I was excited about an addition of a wrap to the menu, but there was more avocado than chicken on it. The food is way overpriced in general. We eat out a lot and have been customers of Taphouse for years but things have gone downhill quick since the change in ownership. The only thing still worth going for is the beer selection. Get it together guys.

The vibes are weird - would probably be fine at the bar or for a quick lunch but for dinner it felt subpar at best. Drinks took FOREVER to come out and food wasn’t quick either, waiter we barely saw even though there were at max 5 tables sat in the entire restaurant, and menu feels disjointed. That being said, food was overall very good once it finally came with the exception of the hummus appetizer that was basically sabra with chickpeas on top so I’d skip that if we were to return. All other dishes: pasta, burgers, chicken - everyone was pleased.

We went as a family with my little daughter so she could enjoy brunch with her friend Bluey. It was a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere with excellent service and attention. The menu was very appropriate for the theme, including Bluey glasses, Bluey songs even on the Bluey TV. Bluey also passes by the table waving, and you can take all the photos you want. If your child loves Bluey and loves a continental breakfast, this is the place for you. We had an amazing time; the food was delicious, and so were the drinks.
When I went, only Bluey was there, but we were told Bingo would be coming too. Totally recommended. ❤️

New management.. quality has suffered.. sadly it was one of our favorite go to places for many years but now the menu is terrible.. our favorite bartenders are all leaving or left.. and the local steady customers have not been back either.. we won’t be back any more.. very unfortunate..
Went on Sunday with my wife. Ordered oysters, Taphouse Steak Frites, and the Drunken Chicken Parm special. Also got some beers on tap.
Service was excellent and attentive, no complaints there. Beers were good too, and there was a nice selection.
Oysters were decent, especially for the price. Unfortunately my unlucky wife kept getting bits of shell in her mouth when she tried to eat them. Maybe it was bad luck or a bad shuck. The cocktail sauce and mignonette sauce, while good, were served without the little spoons needed to serve the sauce. I ended up using my butter knife.
The Steak Frites dish was underwhelming. Steak was just OK and needed salt. Asked for medium rare but was cooked rare, not a big deal but noticeable. Also would've been nice if we got a steak knife to cut it instead of the serrated butter knife at the table. Was served in a plate-bowl which made it difficult to cut. It was also served with a sliced-in-half cooked tomato that we could've done without, and in my opinion, should been replaced with some other vegetable. For the price, the dish was lackluster.
Drunken chicken parm special should be added to the main menu. It was very good.
I saw a response from the establishment on another review that they are under new ownership/management and transitioning, so hopefully this feedback helps.
