Resturant Latour is a fine dining experience. If the Michelin guide ever recognizes restaurants in the state of New Jersey, Latour will receive Stars. Latour is located within the golf resort Crystal Springs. You do not have to stay at the resort to dine at Latour. You need to make a reservation and there is a formal dress code. The resturant itself is a smaller intimate space with maybe 12 tables. The entire western wall of the dining room is glass so you can see the sunset over the mountian while you eat dinner.

The menu is set at either a 3 or 7 course chef's tasting menu. We opted for 7. The food was excellent. Every dish outside of dessert featured a different protein and everything was portioned so that you could enjoy the entire meal. In addition to the 7 courses, the meal included an aperitif, a bread and butter selection, and housemade chocolates after dessert.

The service sets the standard for five star dining. There is an entire team of professionals serving you, not just a single person. (Seriously ten+ different people took care of our table.) Every course is delivered and explained. The table is cleared, cleaned and reset for every course. The (soon to be master) sommelier will answer any and all questions you have about wine.

We enjoyed our dinner experience and would recommend it. I think it is a great option for something like an anniversary.

There are some comments on cost. To not be suprised, set expectations to at least $600 for dinner for two with upward trajectory based on quality and quantity of wine consumption and generosity of gratuity.

As a bonus: You can sign up for a tour of the wine cellar and a wine tasting with the sommelier at the resort. You do not have to stay at the resort to do this. There is a fee for the wine tasting. We did both of these before dinner.

Note my picture descriptions are basic because I did not take a picture of the menu.

Wonderful dining experience destroyed by no taxi or Uber service available! Are they in the sticks or what! There was no signal to get an Uber even with their WiFi pass code. No taxi service either. Next time? No next time! Their primitive access is their demise as far as I'm concerned.

If you like pretentious, overpriced dining, this is the place for you. The dinner cost $400 for the two of us, excluding the tip, which was not worth the expense. The food was good, but the portion was so small that I was still hungry when we left the restaurant. It is not a good thing when the bread plate is the largest thing you are served. I ordered the pork cheek for my first course. It was good but tiny. My main course was a one-mushroom ravioli, not enough food for a grown man. My wife enjoyed her food, but thought the food and the drinks were extremely overpriced. The atmosphere was somewhat ordinary and not particularly exciting. We will not come here again.

I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant last night, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Despite accidentally booking for Sunday instead of Saturday, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, which I really appreciated. They were so understanding and professional, and that really set the tone for the evening.

As for the food, it was absolutely phenomenal—definitely a 10/10. We opted for the 7-course meal, and each dish was more impressive than the last. The flavors, presentation, and attention to detail were all exceptional.

The service was top-notch as well. Every waiter was not only professional but also well-informed and eager to ensure we had the best experience possible. It's rare to see such a seamless combination of great food and outstanding service.

Highly recommend this place—don't miss out!

Absolutely gorgeous place. Service was okay for a decent place, but my dear the food blew my cousin and I away’! She recently retired and once to visit. She had heard amazing things about this place. The food here was absolutely next level.

For a night of culinary experience you will soon not forget. There is a hidden gem in the foot hills of New Jersey that deserves a Michelin star.

We went for the tasting menu, which at 195 dollars for small seven courses is of course not cheap. With its 10 tables in an elegant setting, plus very attentive staff, the ambiance could not have been much better. Of the seven dishes, the habashi, cuttlefish, and wagyu beef were especially yummy. The garnishes were creative but tiny, and as a result the amount of vegetables vs protein too uneven for my taste. Everything was attractively presented and truly delicious, though quite often the protein and sauce was too salty and thus overpowering any subtle taste combinations that must have been intended. We did have a wonderful time and our conversations flowed and our taste buttons were happily and surprisingly engaged. Thank you for a great Thankgiving!
