Golden Pyramid Restaurant

I could say so much about this restaurant, but I will make this short and sweet! The food was incredible, the portions were huge, and when we finished our appetizers, we were stuffed. Everything was just great! I am definitely going back.

My family and I first time eating here. Everything was absolutely amazing. A wonderful birthday dinner in deed. Great vibe and great people. We will be back.

Golden Pyramid is the type of place that instantly makes you feel at home, like you’re sitting down for a meal in your mom or grandmother’s house. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing. The chef, Mohamed, even came out to personally check on every table, making sure we were enjoying all of his delicious creations. It’s little touches like that which make a place memorable.

As for the food, we were blown away. We started with the broiled crab cakes, which were tender and flavorful. But the real stars of the evening were the Egyptian lamb stew and the kofta. The lamb stew, ordered as spicy as they could make it (and how spicy it was!!), hit the spot perfectly—it reminded me of my own mother’s beef curry, taking me back to some of my favorite dinners with my own family. The kofta was easily the moistest, most tender kebab I’ve ever had. And the portions? Absolutely huge. We left with leftovers and a baklava to go, feeling like we’d gotten incredible value for our money.

For two people, we spent $80, which included an appetizer, soups, entrees, and dessert. It’s hard to beat that for the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed. Golden Pyramid is a hidden gem in Mays Landing, and whether you’re looking for comfort or bold flavors, you won’t leave disappointed.
