Edit: Based on the reply from this business I find it necessary to clarify and set things straight. First of all - we had a party of 5 people NOT 7. Second - you never said anything regarding being filled to capacity and not being able to serve us for legal or any other reason. Third - I did not reach across your register to get a take out menu. The take out menus were laying on the ledge of the half wall near the register and we were thinking about taking out as opposed to waiting for a table. BUT your rude attitude blew that option. Please be honest and do not lie to discredit my review and make yourself appear to be a respectable and ethical business. Happy holidays to you too!

Absolutely the worst experience at a restaurant. We left and didn’t even stay to eat at this place. Right when we walked into this restaurant, the owner told us very loudly “I can’t serve you we have no room”. There were a few chairs in the waiting area and we sat down to wait for a table. While waiting we were looking at their take-out menu. The owner then asks his staff very loudly “where did she get that menu?!”. Realizing he was talking about me I gave him the menu back. He continues to yell at me and in front of all his customers he says “this is my restaurant NOT yours.” Feeling terrible we walked out vowing never to return to this restaurant. The owner of this place is so rude and does not deserve our patronage. Better off spending your money at many other local restaurants that will provide courteous and respectful dining services!!

I used to love this place. Amazing, authentic food. But I came in with a mask because I am immunocompromised and one of the chefs yelled "COVID! COVID!" which made me and other customers around me uncomfortable.

I usually don't post a review. However, I was so appalled at what happened at this restaurant and the reply from the restaurant to my Stepdaughters review, I had to.

First, the atmosphere at the restaurant was it is a plain pizzeria type place. So no atmosphere. The tables are a bit to small for 4 people. You would expect more from a restaurant with expensive prices. Pizza is $20.

There were 4 of us. We did 2 separate checks. Myself and my Partner had Gyros. They were good. My Stepdauther had the $20 spanikopita dinner. Which was a slice of spanikopita and greek salad. Her friend had a gyro.

Everyone is enjoying their meals and honestly my Stepdaughter was almost done when I saw something funny sticking out of the spanikopita. It was what looked like semi plastic wrapping like from a package. She then push it away not being able to finish it. In the meantime the waiter who I think is the Owner was coming every once in a while asking us if everything is OK. We said good. Until he came after the plastic fine. I told him about the plastic and we showed it to him. He ask if we wanted him to take it of the check. She said it's OK, because she doesn't like to make a fuss. I said to the man. "That would be lovely. Thank you". He also said that they don't use that type of plastic in their restaurant, insinuating that we brought it to get out of paying.

When she went up to pay not only did he say it outright but after she posted he review accused her in writing in his reply to her review.

Needless to say we will never go back. I will be reporting this to not only the BBB but also the health department.

It is a little touch of Greek culture and extraordinarily delicious cuisine. Opa is where you are treated as though you were family. They take great care of you.

The food was great until I found a piece of plastic in it. Then the owner accused me of putting there myself twice. Never going back to anything owned by such an ill-mannered jerk.

Edit: if you have everything on video tape, you can watch it and see that not only did I not put plastic in my food, but it was my stepmom, who was on a separate check, who ask for the refund. I said that things like this happen and not to worry about it. But your post proves to the world that you shouldn't be anywhere near customer service.

We were looking for a local restaurant and found Opa Greek. What a great find! We had the Greek salad and the Gyro platter. Wonderful! The owner is so personable and the food authentic. Had to get a few of the desserts to take home. Delish!

Solid mediocre. Had a live bug in the salad. Response to owner: Yes, I am sure we were at the "Opa Greek Restaurant". There was a live bug crawling in the salad, did not make a fuss about it because there was no point. As for removing the review, why would I do that? It is accurate and truthful. But now that you have me editing the review, I will comment on the deceitful practice of bringing out bottled water when the customer says they would like to drink water. Not like it is some fancy bottled water either, but 16oz of filtered water for $4 a bottle! The Home Depot up the street sells the same water for $4 a CASE (24 bottles). Never been to a restaurant that charged for water! (We were not asked if we wanted bottled VS tap). Two of us had "platters" for $19 each, and another in the party had a $11 wrap. The $11 meal had more meat than the $19! To top it off, we had some desert and coffee added to our bill that we never ordered, and only realized it because we demanded a printed receipt instead of just handing over a credit card as most do. Can't help but think that may have been deliberate. Two of us were sick the next day, so "mediocre" is probably an overstatement. First time I have ever had Saganaki that was not flambe in brandy. The more I think about it, the more disappointing this experience was.
