Been going here over 20 yrs, place needs a remodel. The food is subpar compared to the past and not worth the high price.
Great lunch! Burger was amazing! Had 2 kids with me they loves the kids menu! Made a reservation so we were able to sit outside it was a beautiful view. Kids loved looking at the fish and ducks in the pond during lunch
It is always a joy to dine at this restaurant. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in America. You are transported to Claude Monet's country home in Giverny and while you are dining, you get to see Monet's famous Japanese Bridge and his famous water lily's. It takes your breath away. Of course, all this while you are having a beautiful and fabulous meal. The food is delicious and the presentation "tres magnifique". Dave, the host and manager is always stopping by your table to make sure everything is good. He is always so lovely, and welcoming, not to mention, he makes it a point to know if it's your birthday or another celebration. It is just a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening and be transported to a country garden in France.
beautiful weather, perfect outdoor seating with gorgeous ambiance. Wonderful lunch with friends able to have conversations in this setting
Dining at Rat's is a fabulously unique experience. This is the first time we've lunched there; we prefer dinner. An issue I had with my meal was corrected however, one of its ingredients was quite stringy and difficult to chew, which detracted from the experience.
Beautiful romantic atmosphere, delicious food, great gardens and artwork. We have been here for birthdays, mother's day brunch, thanksgiving, and just for a wonderful experience. Always wonderful and unique.
We had the pleasure to dine at this place after reading positive reviews of this place. You have to request out door seating, the view is spectacular. Our wait staff Sarah F was extremely friendly and welcoming. We loved the Bloody Mary, Sarah explained that it is made on the premises, fresh. Which was so true. Have never had a Spicy Bloody Mary like the one at Rats. We had Cauliflower Crudo Chicken, the dressing was excellent, the salad did not feel dry. My husband had Avocado Toast which he enjoyed because it had lox and egg on it. We finished with Creme Brulee , which was very yummy. You have to by a ticket, if you want to explore the Sculpture Garden. It is so very worth it.
My husband and my best friend have this tradition. Every year around our birthdays, which are close together, we go to rats, sit on the patio, and order appetizers and drinks. We love sitting out on the patio and watching the ducks and the birds and the fish and the turtle. We enjoy seeing the beautiful Water lilies. The staff is all very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to coming again next year!
A local gem in the middle of the wonderful Grounds for Sculpture, with excellent views and ambiance for both their indoor and outdoor seating. Service was good, though occasionally slow. Food was good, with decent sized portions, though a bit pricey -- for the same price one can get excellent food, but without the location and vibe. I highly recommend it for anyone touring Grounds for Sculpture.
the food was great and atmosphere really great, I would highly recommend Rats. We will defintely go back.

Gorgeous day, seating was perfect outside under the awning. Great food and cocktails. Excellent service. Nice to have access to the ticket book and grounds after our meal.
Beautiful spot for lunch and the food was pretty good, but very overpriced and service wasn't good at all. It took 45 minutes to get our food and no one even came to check on us or offer us anything. It was only after I flagged down the waiter that he went to check in the kitchen. If you're at Grounds for Sculpture you're better off eating at one of the cafes as they looked lovely too.
Loved the decor. Enjoyed sitting at the bar with a pleasant bartender and delicious mocktail. Reservation for 1:30 finally honored at 2:00 pm, though there seemed to be tables available. Waitress inattentive. Had to get her attention to let her know we had not been served our lunch after 40 minutes, and she said, "Oh, you haven't been served yet?" Very disappointing, especially after we alerted her to our need to leave promptly to get to drive to New England. Onion soup was fine. Cheeseburger and Caesar salad uninspired.
The view from outdoor tables is over the enormous koi pond. The oversized koi are both beautiful and entertaining to watch. The sculptures are both beautiful and amazing to behold. We especially loved the painters with their easels and oils. So lifelike. Oh yeah, and the food was delicious and beautifully prepared. We will def be returning to try different dishes.
We had a very quiet, relaxing dining experience. Our server, Marissa, was very good....welcoming and professional. The Quinoa Salad and the Panna Cotta deserve mention. It's a great place for a special occasion dinner. The ambiance is perfect.
