I met Evelyn and purchased pies for Easter for the first time. I got the Apple blueberry crumb and the ricotta coconut. Best pies I have ever had. So many compliments. Will definitely come back. Can’t wait to try more. They were delicious 🤤

I went back and forth about writing a review but I am so disappointed. We pre ordered 4 pies (pumpkin, pumpkin ricotta, double crust Apple, and apple cranberry). Upon arriving they were so beautiful we asked for an additional five fruit. My family and I were literally so excited to go home and try them we didn’t even wait till thanksgiving we all tried a slice Wednesday night. To our utter dismay we were all so sad to find out the fruit pies had almost no flavor and to really make the matter worse the pies were so undercooked. It was doughy, quite soggy, and disgusting in the center.

I would NOT only HIGHLY not recommend this place I will go out of my way to let people know they should absolutely not order from here.

I mean come on if you have “Pies” in your name you should at least know how to cook a pie… get it together.

So excited to try my first pie from Penza’s. Double crust apple. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. Very little flavor. Not sweet at all. Crust was nothing to write home about.

New Jersey Farm fresh, old school charm! All the pies are extremely delicious. Love having them adorn our thanksgiving dessert table. The ricotta pumpkin pie a favorite, it’s luscious treat!

Have enjoyed a good breakfast in a unique, warm and welcoming setting.

I bought a apple crumb pie today, and I'm a little disappointed. The apples in the pie are rubbery, and little hard to chew! It's like the pie is raw on the inside, but the crust was dark.

The Red Barn is the best. Evelyn makes the best pies I've ever eaten. Plan to go there soon, been too long.

In all honesty I can't comment on the food since I didn't actually get to eat the food that I ordered. But, I want to share my experience with the very odd customer service. I called ahead to make sure that they were serving breakfast. The owner answered the phone and said that they serve breakfast until 1:30. My husband and I got there a little before 12:30. We were seated and given breakfast menus. There was a group of 6 people seated when we got there. We ordered omelets. The waitress brought our drinks. After about 20 minutes the waitress and owner brought out burger platters to the 6 people that had been there when we arrived. But, now the owner comes over to our table and tells my husband and I that it's about 10 minutes before 1:00 and she has to clean all the grease off the grill from the burgers she just cooked for the other people and she WON'T be able to make our omelets! She said that she could heat up some mini meatloaves that she has or make burgers. The waitress took our order in plenty of time and we had been waiting. But, the owner kept saying that there was a tremendous amount of grease on the grill and she couldn't clean it all off and make omelets like we ordered. We did leave and won't be going back. This seemed to be perfectly reasonable to the owner. The waitress did seem embarrassed. Very odd way to provide customer service.
