Real Irish Pub! Had one of the best Guinness pours yet! Bartender was super friendly, will stop by next time we're in the area!

The place seemed nice at first, however I slowly realized it is only welcoming towards racists. One of the patrons told me something along the lines of “people with weird foreign names shouldn’t come to this country”. One of the only times I’ve faced blatant racism after years of living here. The bartender was a cranky old man, he lost his cool because my “friend” walked into the wrong bathroom. The place is a dump, no wonder there were barely 2-3 patrons on a Friday night. Hoping to see it replaced by a Chinese restaurant or nail salon soon.

I recently stopped by O'Donnell's Pub in Harrison, and wow, what a great experience! As soon as I walked in, I felt right at home—super cozy vibe with just the right mix of classic pub charm and modern flair. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back with a pint, catch up with friends, or just relax after a long day.
But honestly, the real star of the show was James. He made sure my friend and I had the best time, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. He gave us awesome recommendations and kept our drinks full, and even took the time to chat with us. It’s rare to find someone who’s so good at making you feel welcome, but James nailed it.
All in all, O'Donnell's is a total gem, and James is a big part of why it’s so special. I’ll definitely be back, and if you’re in the area, you’ve gotta check it out. You won’t regret it.

Awesome time I had and can’t wait to go back ! Clean place , the bartender was so nice ! Perfect pub ! The chips are the best by the way
I out from this places enchanted!! It is a completely different experience where you can find import beer (very delicious). Do not miss the opportunity to speak with owner, he is really nice and will recommend to you a very good beer.
Btw, Please do not ask for regular beers at the bar. 😅

This bar is an absolute gem for anyone wanting to catch the World Series or just enjoy a relaxing night out. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, perfect for unwinding. Their meat pies are incredible—fresh, flavorful, and just the right comfort food while watching the game. James, the owner, is such a standout; he’s not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about drinks. He makes excellent recommendations that elevate the experience. If you're looking for a spot with great food, drinks, and a chill vibe, this place won’t disappoint!

The best place in town to stop by for a well poured Guinness. O’Donnell’s have a good variety of beers, wines and cocktails. Definitely coming back!

I came here with some friends before the NY Red Bull Game on 6/1/2024. It was a nice chill spot to enjoy a few pre-game beverages. The owner, Jim, was pleasant and made a nice scotch recommendation. Will definitely be returning next time I am in the area.

What a horrible experience. Buddy behind the bar thinks he’s the best thing since sliced bread. I asked him to make me a Long Island iced tea and he said…I QUOTE… “I don’t feel like it”. Excuse me? That’s your job no? I replied “ok well if you want to be lazy I’ll just have a beer”. That POS kicked us out!! If you want to have a good time, don’t go within 50 feet of this place. Instant regret. Trash establishment. Do better New Jersey…do better.

I moved to US in 2006 and started living in Harrison, very close to where O'Donnel is. I used to often spend my weekends alone in this bar as I didn't know anyone outside my work. James is a wonderful man, we used to have great conversations. We talked about whiskeys in great length. He poured generous amount of whisky in a single drink. Seventeen years now, I moved to a different state, but I would love to visit this classy Irish pub whenever I am in area.
