I had the Falafel Edemame Buddha Power Bowl from the food truck at a festival today. It was FABULOUS. Every bite was delicious. I would put the pineapple salsa and mango kimchi on everything I eat if I could. People kept stopping me to ask where it was from. The presentation was beautiful. The portion was very generous- I appreciated that it came with a lid because I am very excited for the leftovers.
My family and I ate at Chef J's food truck at the Lantern Festival in Montclair this weekend. First of all, his crab rangoon empanadas? 100% our new food obsession lol they were crunchy on the outside and so creamy and packed with crab on the inside. Amazing food and catering!
Chef J's Latin Dragon is a Latin and Asian Fusion food truck and restaurant. The food is really tasty, with big portions at reasonable prices. The crab rangoon empanadas are a new food obsession; they are crunchy on the outside and so creamy and packed with crab on the inside, not greasy at all, with an amazing sauce. The pork fried rice with chicharon is sooooo good. Other standout items include the beef on a stick, ribs, chicharon fried rice, pot stickers, Shanghai Cheese steak quesadilla, and Elote baby corn. The Falafel Edamame Buddha Power Bowl is fabulous, with a beautiful presentation and a very generous portion that comes with a lid. The meat is flavorful and tender, and the mix of pineapple, veggies, Edamame, and beans with rice and sauce is delicious. The service is great; the owner is super helpful and nice, and the staff is very welcoming. There is a kiosk to place an order without waiting. The only minor thing is the edamame in the fried rice, which can be left out upon request. Highly recommended, with a huge line of customers well deserved.
