Amazing! Food is so fresh.
The ceviche, pollo broaster, beef stir fry were all excellent!!! Servings were family style and so generous! Definitely will be a regular here.

The young man who was our waiter was super nice and helpful. Our food was absolutely delicious and big portions. Took home food to go. Prices are very reasonable. We will plan to come back.

La Chata Restaurant in Hawthorne is a nice little place for Peruvian food, away from the bustle of Paterson. The food is delicious, made really good, and well presentable. The ceviche was superb and very fresh, and the leche de tigre can have some real heat. The Lomo had a distinct flavor, the pork was fried perfectly, and the onion salad was flavorful. The sautéed noodles are wonderful, and the arroz Chaufa, lomo saltado, and seco de res are highly recommended. Prices are very good considering how big the portions are. The restaurant has unique and lovely hand-sketched murals on the walls and music straight from Peru. It is small and cozy but has traffic often. Pick up some aji and Peruvian chocolates while there.
