We had a 7:30 reservation however diners lingered after their checks arrived and they didn't leave. Owner was upset and embarrassed. However she brought us to the back by the kitchen entrance when I saw a room adjacent to the very noisy main dining room. It was a separate party room where it was quieter and we enjoyed dinner, uncrushed and relaxed. We brought our wine, waitress was friendly and checked on us often. Food was delicious. Service was fast and efficient, food was great 5 different dinners and all agreed. Noise level was low, this is what we wanted. This group meets once a month and we have many things to discuss, we need a calm and quiet place to enjoy and Assaggini di Roma was perfect.

I was there for a post-funeral luncheon and the food was quite good for something served in chafing pans. Chicken was nice and juicy, eggplant was nice, the canoli was a beautiful finish for the meal.

Docking a star because the service was mid, the servers were complaining about seemingly the group of us overstaying or something on the other side of the wall. I thought it was tasteless in front of the grieving family. We all have the right to complain about...
