Staff was great and so was the food. I hope they’re hiring more people. There was 3 people working there tonight and a bunch of orders. It would help with overworked staff and wait times.

My husband and I were craving a bowl, so we ordered a crispy chicken bowl with extra crispy chicken and extra bacon over rice to share for pickup. When we got home, we noticed the bowl had barely any chicken—about five small pieces at most—and almost no bacon. As you can see from the picture, it was mostly rice and veggies, with very little lettuce. To make matters worse, we found a hair tucked underneath the food.

We’ve always loved Bubbakoo’s and have never had any issues with the Brick and Manasquan locations, but we were extremely disappointed with the Hazlet location.

Edit: Raising this from 1 to 4 star after speaking with the owner. It seems this was an outlier situation and they were very kind and receptive.

We came in at 8:20 PM (place closes at 9). The woman behind the counter seemed very detached and exhausted so I tried to be sympathetic. My burrito was a magnificent slop, not rolled properly at all. The soda fountain was out of CO2, so all the soda was flat - I made a comment but the employee didn't care even though she had charged me for the drink. The food wasn't bad but nothing remarkable or exciting.

Food is amazing! Ordered from home then went to go pick it up which didn't take very long. The staff are nice and the restaurant is clean! I definitely recommend eating here.

My wife order food online. The app told her the food (one Burrito bowl" would be ready in 15 minutes. She arrived on time the stood in line once at the front of the time was told by the cashier that her order was not ready and would be about her 10 minutes because of the "large order" again it was one burrito bowl. After waiting another ten minutes the cashier noticed that my wife's order has been waiting the entire time. It was cold and not made to order.
If you have the chance, just go somewhere else. It's not worth the wait the service or the food to go there.

The rudest people I’ve ever encountered with! I ordered online (ONE BURRITO BOWL) i waited 15 mins to pick it up, as this was the time the app told me it would be ready. Upon picking up my order i was told “it was not ready yet, it would be another 10 mins” I replied… “10 more mins?” Gabriella G’s response was “WELL it’s such a large order (keep in mind it was ONE BOWL) and i have people waiting in line” (2 people to be exact) all while slamming things all over the place and throwing metal containers. So i waited, while getting side eyed and laughing from other customers because she was acting so erratically. After about 5 mins she realized my order was already done & sitting on the counter (getting cold) when i finally got home (i live about 3 mins away) my food was cold, i had to microwave it. Management, i think you need to re-evaluate your staff. Customers, take the extra 5 mins drive down the road to chipotle.
