We both chose the strip steak entree, which turned out to be very tender and tasty and served medium rare. At only $24, these steaks, we felt, were a bargain. The wines, at $10 glass, were good quality (J Lohr) for that price these days.
Atmosphere was a bit dreary, the tables lacking both flickering light or flowers. BUT - they did have tablecloths! (Isn’t it pathetic that today we celebrate a restaurant that doesn’t ask us to dine off the bare tabletop?)
There was some sort of background music that sounded like chanting too. It wasn’t loud enough to be obnoxious but it was puzzling.
But the quality of the steaks and wine and food generally were what we appreciated here, and the service was excellent too. So we give 5 stars for those things.

The service was awful. Our waitress brought our water to the table pretty quickly and then disappeared. Another couple was seated at the next table the same time we were seated. Their very friendly waiter immediately greeted them, took their drink order, and told them the specials. Their bread basket was immediately brought out. We waited 15 minutes for our waitress to come take out drink order, she never told us specials or brought a bread basket. We had to ask the hostess to get us our bread. We waited another 15 minutes for her to take our order. Another long wait to get our salads. The table next to us had already finished their salads and appetizers. Our waitress never brought our appetizer because she forgot to put the order in! Meanwhile all she was doing was moving from the kitchen to the bar, never even checking on our table.The food was mediocre . The creamed spinach had no flavor, the ny strip steak was ok but loaded with salt! We will not be returning to this restaurant. We expected a nicer experience and were completely disappointed.

I grew up close by, but moved up to North Jersey I decided to dine here as I was taking a three-day vacation down the shore I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. My husband and came late on a Sunday night but were treated adequately and the waiter Corey was wonderful. The food was amazing the service was fast and it was priced fairly well for such a fine cuisine. Highly recommend the Chilean sea bass, overall great service and great food d at a good price. I definitely recommend visiting this quaint little spot if you're ever in the area. You will enjoy every last bit!

My parents come here all the time and love it, I thought it was just okay. The steak is good here, but my cabernet sauce I ordered on the side was subpar. The family style sides were good, but it didn’t wow me. I wish the location was better, but I must give them props because even though it’s on the side of the highway- it’s very quiet!

The place is nice. Quaint. The atmosphere is warm but the high table seating is difficult, at best, to use. The service was prompt and welcoming. Please excuse our take on the food quality. The meals were excellent and especially since they should cost more than they did. This place offers great unique option like the baked pastry bree with raspberry sauce. Check em out.

2nd Time steak was way undercooked and the lobster tail was rubbery and cold
3rd Time steak was way undercooked again, bought it to the servers attention and all got as Oh... not even a visit from the manager.
Last 2 times have been very disappointing. Unsure if we will be back.
