My (sick) mother ordered a pizza for delivery tonight, they decided it was pick up and when I called an hour later to see where her pizza was, they gave me an attitude, told me I could come pick up the hour old pizza and when I asked them to make me a new one due to the error, they said they were throwing the pizza in the garbage and told me to find somewhere else to get my pizza! This is not the first time that I've been turned off by their attitude, they have never seemed appreciative for the business and make the customer feel as if they're bothering them. In addition, wait times for delivery are always so long! While the food is fine, it's not worth the hassle when other local pizzerias appreciate your business.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I went there asked for two slices and I was told they aren't making anymore pizza. It's 5pm on a Friday night. I was going to also order grill chicken wrap but just left bc I've never heard of this before.

I just opened a real estate office up the street at 80 Hazlet Ave. I’ve had several different slices from here already, inclusive of the Vodka, regular slice, chicken parm, cheesesteak and the bbq chicken and they are all fantastic. Great flavor on all, good crisp, good size slice, NO FLOP!! Def check it out for sure if you have never been here.

Got the margarita and grandma pie, both were great. The marg pie was a little soggy even though we asked for well done, but it was easy to ignore with how good it tasted.

I was in the Hazlet area the other day and ordered a chicken parm sub from Salerno's. I moved out of the area a couple years ago so I was familiar with their food. I can say that I always enjoyed their pizza and food in the past. I've heard that they have been inconsistent but jumped on a food order regardless since the groups opinions were split and some insisted it was still quality. This is how my chicken parm awaited me. No cheese inside the actual sub but instead mounted on top of the sub prior to baking. Not a smart move when you then wrap it. All the cheese was pulled apart and stuck on the tin foil. The size of the sub, for the price, was decent. However, a very sloppy made sub with zero love put into it. The sliced chicken cutlet pieces were also a little odd. I tried my best to enjoy it, I truly did. But it was difficult to do so as I was scraping cheese with my nail to throw into a sub where the chicken was just falling out. You know what would have kept that chicken put? Some cheese mixed in.
EDIT- Since you want to say that “Salernos” is a popular name and there are many pizzerias by that name and I’m somehow “confused”, I am absolutely speaking about your pizzeria in Hazlet and you absolutely DID tell me that sometimes your customers wait 3 hours for your pizza. I will never forget it because it was such a smug remark that I couldn’t believe you said it! And yes I was a loyal customer. I live in Holmdel and frequented your establishment at least two times a week. I can forgive the girl on the phone who probably had no training abd literally called me a crazy lady but the response from you was just ridiculous. I have proof of this whole transaction and the order time and the actual delivery time and the complaints I made. Before you call me a liar you should have receipts yourself! Bad business Sir! You should and could have just apologised!
Absolutely horrible. I ordered food at 7pm and I Was told it wouldn’t be delivered until after 9pm and then when I called and asked why it would take so long and if there was anything I can do to make it go quicker, like pick it up myself, the person I spoke to told me that his customers sometimes wait 3 hours for his pizza, and when I stayed that that was ridiculous, the girl on the phone told me that I was a crazy lady and hung up on me!! This is a restaurant that I order from two to 3 times per week!! To be treated with such disrespect from a neighborhood business that I patronize and use frequently is ridiculous and NO ONE should treat their customers this way. This is a good way to lose customers. In the past I would have recommended this place but I will NEVER recommend this business again

Ordered take out and was amazed on how big the steak sandwich was so big. Steak and cheese hit the spot. And the peperoni pie was crispy, perfect sauce. Best in jersey that I have tried so far!
