I met a friend for happy hr on Friday at 5:30.The bartenders were chatting it up with regulars and failed to acknowledge us for a good while.After ordering our drinks and receiving them,we waited longer to be acknowledged again to ask for our check because we were tired of waiting.When we told the male tender that we were ready for our check he said" ok" then put a cigarette in his mouth n walked out.??️?. We had planned to stay for food and more drinks, but we're discouraged by the lack of attendance

I really liked this place. My first time going and I'll be back. The service is very friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun.The food was great as well. My husband got the Nacho Peno burger and he inhaled it. The chips on it gave it unique crunch and he added some of their delicious sauces.I got pulled chicken with a side of candied brussel sprouts. DELISH.. I tried all of their sauces...really really good. The brussel sprouts were sweet and tastey..even my husband who hates them kept stealing them off my plate. They were kind of greasy though so I wish they drained them before plating them..or maybe cooked at a higher temp so they didn't absorb as much oil.Either way they were very good. Overall it was a great experience and super convenient located right on rt 35, in the Holiday Inn.Vegetarian options: They had vegan options on the menu.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my gluten allergy.

Surprise, surprise. Best pulled pork in the area. Really strong and good smokey flavor has me coming back for more. Friendly service. Returning for some more with that excellent cherry BBQ sauce on the side. Yum.

Had dinner here to try how the bbq is. Wife and I had the 4 meats combo and couple apps. Had the brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken and ribs!....Brisket was cooked nearly to perfection with light seasoning.Pulled pork was season perfect!Chicken pulled pork was too saltyAnd the ribs was cooked to perfect and was tender.Had 2 side which was mac and cheese and baked beans- baked beans was amazing seasoned perfectly-mac and cheese was average could use more cheesy flavorAnd finally had nachos as app which we had the beef chili which was amazingOur server was great she got everything we needed and was actively checking that we had everything we neededSo overall good bbq and service was on point 4/5 stars

Our wedding was this past weekend and since we arranged a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn adjacent to TST, we decided to have our rehearsal dinner there, as well as a buffet breakfast for our guests the morning after the wedding. My parents were skeptical - breakfast at a bbq restaurant...bbq for the rehearsal dinner? But, everyone loved it! My family raved about the food! People couldn't stop eating. The waitstaff was phenomenal - they kept the drinks coming, the food well stocked and they were personable and friendly. The manager was amazing also - from helping me pick the buffet menu and figuring out the details to graciously letting us add additional guests the day of. Also, they have an awesome vegan menu! We had several vegetarian guests who loved the food as well! The back room space was comfortable, inviting and relaxing. We all got to visit and spend time together and it was thanks to TSTBBQ!

Ordered 2 sandwiches 1 pulled pork with bbq sauce & slaw & 1 brisket with spicy bbq sauce and a Mac & cheese at 6:43 pm on Friday. The wait time stated 45 minutes which i was fine with. The food was not ready until after 8pm and it was dead inside while I waited. Got home neither sandwich had BBQ sauce or the slaw and were dry and mac & cheese tasted nasty worse than Stouffers. Never again.

I'm from SC visiting family here and I Kno good BBQ. This place has fantastic brisket and pulled pork, I had a combo my wife had a combo I had one small slice of brisket enough pulled pork to maybe make a sandwich one piece of corn bread cake and coleslaw that was excellent the Mac and cheese my wife ordered was exactly like frozen Stouffer's Mac and cheese disgusting. you should definitely 86 the Mac and start over player. Your meats where great but coming from the south u normally get 3 slices brisket two or three good portions of pulled pork with some pickles or onion plus what ever sides u get. I'll definitely eat here again. Just hope the portion size goes up.

Menu is inciting, I'm always up for a new BBQ restaurant and this is in my neighborhood. Ordered apps and a beer. Brisket Chili and Slab Bacon bites. Slab bacon was almost unediable, tough like an overdone steak. Brisket Chili was decent. Beer is refrigeratored not on ice, so not so cold. Had to talk to a manager to not be charged for the unediable bacon bites, really?I want to like this place.
This review is for Caryn & Meghan! Meghan makes a great breakfast, the oil used for the hash was clean & my sunny side up eggs were made perfectly. It's a shame we won't be around for her dinner. Caryn, a very hospitable & friendly food server. I asked for decaf, & she actually gave me decaf!

I liked the TST food. I LOVED the staff. The food is just OK now (they fry to much) and I heard they got rid of the bar staff, treating them badly. Me and the 20 or so friends we brought won't be back. JSBBQ has better food...

Meat was kind of gross. Food was cold and atmosphere was less than pleasant, bar patrons talking with waitress/barenders and yelling profanities.We had hogh hopes but were very disappointed. I am no longer surprised it was absolutely empty when we arrived for dinner and only 1 couple arrived while we were there. ?♀️

I have eaten at TST BBQ in Hazlet a few times and the first time amazing the second time EH but this last time tonight was awful. I ordered burnt ends and they were so rough I couldn't eat them I tossed them in the garbage. I ordered the two meat combo and it was ok tried to order vegan Ribs - out ! Tried to order the tofu platter out ! I hope it was just a bad day and this is not going to be the norm the place is too expensive not to produce good food.
