Absolutely disgusting service. I’ve usually ordered from here and always had great food, but after me and My Wife both got sick within 30 minutes of eating our sushi I called to just politely to let them know that there might’ve been something wrong. The owner did nothing but disrespect me and told me I was a liar and said that there’s no possible way, and rather than taking corrective action Actually turned away and hung up. Now I understand why there’s almost never anybody inside.

1st of all you guys never asked if we was dining in.
2nd the place looks like a regular run down Chinese spot from the outside doesn’t even remind anybody of a sit down restaurant. So when I paid and sat down I was expecting getting everything in Togo containers on a tray like every other run down spot but to see that we got treated different y’all are weird
3rd how was all the food ready and packed to go if we sat down asap and if we didn’t receive anything for 10 min after sitting down and got the skimpy noodles?
If you see we switched to dine in why wouldn’t you treat us like dine in customers…….. Is it because we paid already?
Also what was I suppose to do with the edamame skins in your book? Just put them on the table didn’t give something to put it on.
Original review: The service in this place absolutely sucked extremely rude all of the staff. Didn’t ask if we wanted to dine in so we just ordered payd and sat down. Discriminated since they thought they wasn’t going to get tipped 🤣Asked for the noodles and duck sauce they gave all of our things in Togo containers while everyone else was eating on plates. Didn’t give me an extra plate to put the edamame skins. Didn’t give plates at all lol. Weird vibes rude people.

Been ordering here since they first opened. The food has gone WAY done in quality and price is ridiculous. Last 2 orders just bad. Hot and sour soup not the same anymore way more jelly less veggies in soup. Beef and broccoli order was so fatty and a drizzle of sauce and egg rolls are barely filled. I think im done w UJs get it together if your going to up your prices….

This place was my one of my favorite to go spots until tonight..I ordered kani salad "crab n cucumber basically" they made it just cucumber..so I basically paid 9 dollars for a cucumber..I went to return it to them and show it to them, they wanted nothing to do wit making a new one..this place is a dumpster fire there cutting corners to save a dollar..GARBAGE PLACE WILL NEVER EVER ORDER AGAIN AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!

Speaking from a native point of view, UJ is probably as close to authentic tasting (cooking techniques, sauces etc) for Chinese American cuisine. Currently it is my go to for Chinese food in the area...food is cooked well, not too heavy, high quality ingredients, lots of attention to detail in their dishes. Just comparing the fried rice that comes with the combos, you'll find it superior to any other Chinese restaurants' equivalent in their combos. I've only ordered take out, but they do have a dining room. The service has always been prompt and friendly with lots of staff working. The other huge plus is that it's probably the only restaurant in the area that closes the latest.

they food might be good but the service id horrible a lady who says she was the manager would not even give you the time of day and blamed everyone except the restaurant for the incorrect order and charged for individual meals instead of the dinner combos we ordered
After hearing all the raves from friends & on social media, I had to check this place out. Having Chinese & Italian roots, I admit I can be picky about where I go for these types of meals. We have tried almost all of the places in Red Bank/Middletown area & must say that we are not impressed. But now we can happily say that this place is hands down, a big winner for our family. The food was fresh & delicious with beautiful colors & presentation. The staff was friendly & professional. Although it's a little further away from where we live, it's so worth the extra miles. The food was perfectly cooked & packed with the proper ratio of vegetables & meats. The sauce was not salty & not too thick. Definitely making this place our #1 go to place for Chinese food. They also have Japanese food & sushi which we plan to try on our next visit.

The perfect spot to get both Japanese and Chinese cuisine. And both are fantastic! I feel like I can be picky with sushi especially and they have never disappointed. The food is fresh, well made and excellent flavor. The staff is great, easy to communicate with about special needs like allergies, and I never had to wait more than 45 min for my food!! All around great experiences
