Ellinikon is such a cute and cozy coffee shop/market. There are plenty of tables and spaces inside, but it does get crowded with various groups of people visiting and hanging out. That's not a drawback and lends itself to the lively atmosphere and a sense of community at Ellinikon. The food is great! I love the Democratus sandwich: the brioche bun melts in your mouth. I also really enjoy the Freddo coffee and the mango danishes. The staff is nice and friendly. The drawbacks: The Wi-Fi isn't secure and can be a bit tricky to connect to at times. However, once you're online, it's generally pretty reliable. In the seating area, there are only four outlets available (one set by the door and another by the benches), so make sure to plan ahead if you'll need to charge your devices. One other thing to consider is that sitting near the open kitchen sometimes makes my eyes water, possibly due to onions being cut during food preparation.Regardless, Ellinikon is one of my favorite places in Highland Park to meet up with friends or just spend time by myself. I just plan accordingly, and the drawbacks don't prevent me from enjoying my time at Ellinikon.

Excellent personal service! I walk in the door and they start making my order. The food is excellent, with high quality ingredients, customizable and fresh! Highly recommend. It is becoming a community hub, (though ive never had to wait). Best coffee in town. Check them out!

Stopped in tonight and got some pastries. Definitely some of the best spinach (Spanakopita) and cheese pies (Tiropita) I have had outside of homemade! The phyllo dough to filling ratio was on point and the flavor of both was great! I will definitely be back for more! Also got a chocolate croissant which was really good too! Only thing that would have made it better was if it were warmed up (hard for them to do on a to-go order).

Discovered Ellinikon Agora, a Greek Market with a delightful coffee shop ambiance. The place exudes charm with its array of Greek goods, including teas, candy, and coffee. While the cookies were a delightful treat – fresh and flavorful, the coffee, unfortunately, didn't quite meet expectations. The location, conveniently nestled in downtown Highland Park, offers street parking. It is hard to find a table inside. Overall, a unique blend of market and coffee shop vibes, making it a charming spot to explore.

Great cafe/market located minutes from Rutgers NB/Piscataway. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and had such a wonderful experience. This place is bigger than I expected with a cozy dinning area, and a beautiful greek marketplace with a few more seating options. The cafe had a bunch of options to choose from to eat from greek salads and sandwiches to pastries... I wound up ordering the Lemon and Hibiscus Iced Tea with a croissant. The croissant was so good! One of the best I've ever had. It was so buttery and chewy just the way I like it, but it wasn't too flaky leaving crumbs everywhere. The Hibiscus tea came unsweetened but was very refreshing. There was also a counter with sugar where I assume you could sweeten the tea but it was really good on its own. After hours of getting work done I decided to take home more pastries, ordering the Baclava and Feta Pie with honey which were so delicious. The service here is wonderful ! Peter was very helpful giving me tips on how best to eat the Feta Pie. He also informed me this was a family owned business, which I loved. This made my experience even better. If you're working from or just want to visit a beautiful cafe. You should definitely give this place a try.

This place has amazing vibes. Went on a Sunday morning. Comfortably crowded, you can tell it's a popular spot. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was so nice. Omelette was freshly made and piping hot. Lavender latte was one of the best I've had. Blueberry muffin was delicious and fresh. We also got other pastries to go and olive oil in the grocery section that is well stocked. Will be back!

If you’re in the area, you need to stop by this lovely business. Their coffee is great quality and the atmosphere is perfect to relax or get some work done. Try the spinach feta pastry, I’ve got it a few times now and it’s always on point! Peter is so friendly and it’s clear he has a lot of pride in his business! ?

I saw this Greek Cafe on Too Good to Go, and I was excited to see what I'd get in my package! When I got there, I was shocked by how big the Cafe was! One side was a coffee cafe and the other was the bakery and store. They had a lot of items from Greece, and I was really tempted to buy some olive oil and snacks. They had a great variety of pastries too, everything was unique. When I was picking up my Too Good to Go, I was a bit disappointed with what I got in the bag. I had gotten 2 chocolate croissant and an almond croissant. I was hoping I would've gotten something a bit more unique like their mango or apple donuts, or their baklava. Maybe next time I'll get lucky. I do think their Too Good to Go is worth it though as I paid $4.99 for 3 pastries, and when I was looking at the prices there, $4.99 was the price for one croissant! The service was really quick, the people who were working there didn't really talk to me but it was convenient being in and out. I'd come back again to see everything they have at the store in more detail, and maybe I'd buy something!
