Pleasant small coffee and bagels place with very good limited food.

Didn't really click well with this place. Drawn in because they offered a vegan cream cheese. The chili was good, but didn't seem fresh and felt microwaved hot which cooled down within seconds.

Cozy atmosphere, great food.

Excellent omelettes and atmosphere. Bit weird to be given only paper plates and plastic cutlery given the price though. Service was fast.

Delicious bagels made fresh every day, but this place is overpriced and lacking spirit. The coffee is mediocre, the sandwiches are just ok, and the potential is waiting to be fulfilled! Live music, lunch specials and a re-vamping of the space and recipes would revitalize this business.

Cute place, but i wish they didn't use disposable plates

Excellent bagels. Superior service. Best soups you can find.

A great little stop in Highland Park. The bagels, quiche and strawberry rhubarb pie are very good, the service staff are friendly, and the coffee is delicious! This place is a little unusual as they sell yesterday's bagels at a really low price, have a mini garage sale out front and interesting memorabilia on the walls as decor. Not only is it a nice restaurant but you get the feel that the owners are concerned about the environment, a no waste place. And the added bonus..an outdoor seating area in the cutest little garden, an oasis away from traffic and noise.

flavorful breakfast sandwiches and high quality bagels

Great food. Great coffee. Really nice service staff and the little patio are outback is adorbs. Some excellent gluten free bagels and being a straw-free facility are some other little details that put this place over the top.

If you're gluten and dairy-free try the bacon egg and avocado sandwich, served on a GF bagel.

What a great find! Just a short walk from my hotel, I'm gluten-free was able to have delicious breakfast sandwiches every day thanks to Ruthie's! It's a fun place, too, with so many unique, kitschy little things to look at and wonder about.

Offers competitive prices on great Breakfast and Lunch items. Decor offers a sight into the flowering community of Highland Park.

This is a great little place for breakfast or bagels. They have some nice seating (indoors and out), and they staff is always friendly. We've never been disappointed. If you live in the area, it's perfect for walking. They also sell bags of yesterday's bagels at crazy discounts, which is fun. (It's something like $2 for like 15 bagels.) I'd definitely recommend this for anybody.

I'm not sure what's with all the low ratings. I felt it was a reasonable wait time for a small business. The food was pretty good. The pork roll was a little over cooked but it didn't ruin the meal. The food for its prices I'd say is reasonable. I love small businesses. This place had a nice feel to it with little prewraped silverware with a string. They said the home fires would take a extra 10 but they came out with our food. I dont think they deserve the bashing that they get. Perhaps lunch time is different than 7am but I enjoyed my visit and will be back.
