We haven't been to this spot since it had a different name and the new place is a gem! The food is great and so is the service!
Food was banging! Bacon egg and cheese on a croissant was fire, easily best thing I’ve had all week. Definitely recommend stopping by and giving it a try. Everyone is nice in there as well, always a smile on their faces!
Visiting the shore, found this cafe and food was amazing, customer service unbelievable.

Highlands Cafe is a wonderful place with delicious and fresh food, perfect for breakfast or lunch. Visitors describe the pancakes as the best they have ever had, with just the right amount of vanilla. The cafe offers a healthy, not so expensive breakfast, and the food is outstanding, making it a must-go spot.
The breakfast empanada with ham is a great choice, and the clam chowder is very flavorful and worth ordering. For lunch, the turkey club was amazing, and the homemade hot sauce was outrageous. The food is fabulous, with every bite cooked to perfection, including exciting dishes like brussel sprouts and special chef samples. Diners enjoyed the empanadas, clam linguine, and bass tacos.
The staff are really friendly, welcoming, accommodating, engaging, and attentive, providing fantastic hospitality. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it an enjoyable place to sit. Despite its appearance, the restaurant is surprisingly spacious inside, with a steady flow of customers but never feeling overly crowded. It's also conveniently located a short walk from the waterfront. Highlands Cafe also catered a brunch with huge portions, including steak and eggs, and French toast with whipped cream and fresh fruit, all of which guests raved about. The service for catering was incredible, with the staff going above and beyond to make everything effortless.
