I have been coming to the Hightstown Diner in historic Hightstown NJ (founded 1721) since moved to Monroe NJ 3 years ago. I usually sit at the counter and like to watch the kitchen when the doors open. I receive the same timely service whether sitting at the counter on a round swivel bar stool or at a table. The owners and staff are extremely friendly, courteous, and always ask to refill your coffee or need anything else. You have the wonderful feel of a true vintage Diner like...

Classic New Jersey diner including a wide array of choices, some breakfast, lunch and dinner foods. I enjoyed a toasted sandwich with well done fries. My food was served hot and was a plentiful portion. Our server was friendly and professional. I recommend this restaurant for diner style food.
