My friend and I were looking for a place to have lunch and decided that this spot was mid point for both of us. I was a little nervous because my friend is Guyanese and a Caribbean food expert. We were both pleasantly surprised. I had the diamond salad and must say it was by far the best salad I had in my life. The shrimp and salmon were seasoned to perfection and the fruit and cheese added the perfect balance to the Carribean dressing. My friend had the sweet jerk chicken and she really enjoyed it. We both agreed that we will be visiting this place again. I also ordered a to go meal for my husband and my friend ordered a to go meal for her son that looked delicious. I give them a 10 out of 10.

Oxtail is one of my favorite dishes, and Morgan's Island Grill is the only place I’d go for it, despite being 35 minutes away from my house. The dish is incredibly tender, full of flavor, and comes in a generous portion. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Preparing for a party is never easy, especially when your dinner guests know “good” quality food! And this was the dilemma my wife and I faced. We usually order lunch from Morgan’s Island Grill several times a month. So, when we began planning for an annual “Friendsgiving” dinner, we could only think of one person whom we trust – and that person was Mr. Morgan of Morgan’s Island Grill, Hightstown, New Jersey.
We met with Mr. Morgan and reviewed several options. We decided on having Brown Stewed Chicken, Escovitch King Fish, Whiting in a sweet sauce, with Rice and Peas, Corn Bread, Cabbage and Fried Plantains. The food was prepared on schedule, conveniently packaged in heating trays and fresh!
Mr. Morgan and his staff crafted our dinner in a style and manner reminiscent of the finer restaurants in Negril, Jamaica. Our dinner guests were very impressed with their meals and took home leftovers!

We held a catered lunch event for 25-30 people at my lab in East Windsor and the food was excellent. Owner delivered the meal himself, on time and well packaged for easy setup. Great feedback from all my employees! We had a bit of everything (jerk chicken, fried fish, oxtails, curry chicken, rice, corn bread, salads, plantains) and enjoyed all of it. I am very curious to try more from their menu. Will strongly consider ordering again for another company event!
I ordered the Rasta pasta, and it was very disappointing. The noddles were over cooked and the sauce was spicy n sweet. In my years of order Rasta pasta that’s not usually the case. It’s usually a mix of heavy cream and jerk seasoning to bring it to the desired taste. This reminded me of beef a roni. Where the sauce seems very cheese based. All in all I’ll never return. I would like a refund or another dish. This was sadly disappointing. As a Jamaican myself, you shouldn’t advertise a Jamaican restaurant with all Hispanics in the kitchen I should’ve caught on when I pulled up for my order. Sad case.

I can’t speak highly enough of Morgan’s in Hightstown, NJ! They were rated some of the best Caribbean food in NJ and they deserve it. Every time I order food from Morgan’s, I’m greeted with a smile and made to feel like family. The portions are big, the food is as fresh as it gets and the service makes you feel right at home. Everything is homemade and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Morgan’s is a real gem on main street and is an experience you don’t want to miss.
Make sure to try Morgan’s jerk flounder with a side of homemade cornbread!

The owner is one of the friendliest, kindest, skilled chefs and owners you will EVER meet. And this is phenomenal for MANY reasons. I love Jamaican food, but normally most Jamaican restaurants I’ve gone to have HORRIBLE customer service and I’ve been to several. With this restaurant you are going to get the FULL experience when he is there. If he is not there the service varies slightly but overall this place is a 10/10. May God continue to bless the work of this man’s hands. This man has integrity and it bleeds into how he runs his business and cooks. He was raised right. I know he came from a good honorable family. Idrive over an hour to frequent this business when I have Jamaican restaurants ten minutes from me. I have spent over 400 dollars treating my Co workers because I love this place sooooooo much. The one small thing they could work on is if you call to pick up food, they usually don’t start it until you get there which defeats the whole purpose lol. But I love this place so much that I just wait lol. This isn’t just good food. It’s an EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!

Morgan's Island Grill is the Absolute Best! We don't mind traveling 1 1/2 hours to enjoy aunthentic Jamaican cuisine. Morgan is the goat ! 🐐 We recently placed a fairly large order via phone for a pickup the following day and the owner and staff were very kind, professional and prompt! Although, we ordered to-go, the restaurant is quaint, clean and very welcoming. The Oxtails and Curry Chicken Patties are our favorite but EVERYTHING, we've ever ordered has been delicious.
