The ambiance is very cute and cozy. But we came with a group of 10 and although the server was attentive he never brought buckets to chill our wine. And I ordered the penne vodka and added chicken and the chicken wasn't mixed in, just added to the side. We ordered cheesecake which was dry so that wasn't too good either. Maybe lunch is better but I wouldn't come back for dinner.

I have been wanting to try 081 for a few months. We had a very enjoyable meal. The food was honest traditional Italian fare and all very good. Everything was fresh and served hot. The service was solid. No complaints. Prices were frankly normal for a BYO in Northern NJ in 2026. I would go back without question. When I read some of the less than great reviews from others I am a bit confused. Whats not to like?

Ordered the arancini to go, instead of being served with a side of vodka sauce as shown in the picture, it was swimming in a pool of it, and once I got it home, it was just a bowl of rice mush. The rice was under-cooked, and the sauce was just okay. Definitely not what I expected and not worth the price.
