“Stefan the new chef has a wonderful restaurant here with fantastic delicacies to choose from. Standouts are his Tuna sushi on rice cakes with caviar. Amazing. Also the steak frites with truffle fries and the tuna carpaccio...just wow. Stefan also had a delicious tapas served as appetizers a few weeks ago with anchovies and other types of seafood served on toasted baguettes. He is friendly and engaging and a great addition to the Ho-Ho-Kus dining scene. Bought St Eves from the previous owners about 2 years ago. Go and Enjoy!”

“My son was recently diagnosed with EOE and is dairy, nut and egg free. Someone recommended AltEats so I contacted Laurie and she worked her magic! My son was able to enjoy an amazingly delicious birthday cake for the first time! She also created the most delicious cannoli filled cake for my guests! I can’t say enough about how easy Laurie was to work with and how lucky I feel blessed I feel to have found this establishment!”

“After a very long day, I came in get a bite to eat before I went back to traveling. The food is delicious. The staff is incredible. They will go the extra mile for you (literally). After ordering and eating entirely too much delicious food the couple who owns the restaurant gave me a ride to the bus station. The woman who served me was kind and kept me company while I was alone. Really one of the best experiences I have had in the entire state of New Jersey. Thankful for people like you.”

“What an absolutely wonderful dinner we had at 081 Cafe in Ho-Ho-Kus! This gem has quickly become one of our favorite spots for authentic Italian cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Joe Esposito, the owner, has created something truly special here, a place that feels like a true Italian family table. Joe’s passion for real, old-world cooking shines through in every detail, and you can tell he pours his heart into making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience. Our waiter, Oscar, was outstanding. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, he took such good care of us and made the evening flow perfectly. The entire staff was professional, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do, it’s that rare combination of efficiency and warmth that turns a good meal into a great memory. Now, let’s talk about the stuffed artichoke. I haven’t had one like this in over half a century — not since my grandmother made them when I was a child. The first bite took me straight back to her kitchen. Tender, perfectly seasoned, and filled with that classic, soulful stuffing… it was pure nostalgia on a plate. I honestly got a little emotional. If you love traditional Italian appetizers done right, you have to order this. Everything else we tried was equally delicious, but that artichoke alone is worth the trip. If you’re in the area and craving real, heartfelt Italian food served with pride and care, do yourself a favor and go to 081 Cafe. Tell Joe and Oscar that a very happy (and very nostalgic) customer sent you! Highly, highly recommended. We can’t wait to go back.”

“The dining experience was excellent. However, do not bring your own birthday cake. Because the restaurant will charge you $2.75 per person to slice it. I find this obnoxious and unnecessary as a charge to their customers. The manager, I spoke to, “Junior“ was most disagreeable and clearly did not know how to work with customers who were having a large party for an event. I paid a lot of money for that birthday cake and we spent quite a bit of money there as well, but he would not budge which I was very put off by. So, in the future, understand that they will charge you 275 per person per slice. Maybe not the best place to go for a birthday celebration. I know I will not be returning for that kind of event again.”

“Waikiki in Saddle Brook is one of my favorite stops. The poke bowls taste fresh and well balanced, with generous portions and a lot of texture in every bite. My bowl is rich in flavor, perfectly glazed, and paired really well with the crunchy toppings and sauces.

The dumplings were crispy on the bottom and packed with flavor, and the wings came out hot and crunchy without feeling greasy. Everything felt fresh, quick, and well put together.

Definitely a great casual spot if you’re craving poke, dumplings, or just an easy comfort meal that still feels quality.

“We absolutely love Kura Revolving Sushi Bar! Every visit has been an incredible experience. The sushi is always fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. So far, we’ve never had to wait in line, which makes the experience even better.

If you’re looking for something specific, the special orders come out within just a few minutes, which is incredibly convenient. Nicole, our server, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable.

The restaurant is also very modern and fun, with electronic ordering and even robotic food delivery, which adds a unique touch to the dining experience! 🤩

“It’s a nice place with a welcoming atmosphere. Even on a weekday evening, the tables filled up quickly, which says a lot about its popularity.

I was surprised that the bread wasn’t complimentary, but the soft, delicious butter made it well worth the price. The food was very good, and the service was friendly and attentive.

It’s a BYOB restaurant, and if you don’t bring your own, you can have wine delivered from a nearby wine shop with no delivery fee, which is a nice convenience. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would definitely come back.”

“Without question THE BEST INDIAN FOOD around. Better than any Indian place I've eaten at in Manhattan on Lex/Curry Hill. The Gobi Manchurian incredible, the Mushroom Dry Fry appetizer incredible, Incredible. Tandoori chicken for $18, was like 6 nice delicious pieces of chicken. My veg entree Aloo Palak was yummy, I just ate the rest for lunch now. Get the green mint sauce on the side, it's so good. The owner is so sweet, I'm a grouch, but she always makes me smile. Thank you.

P.S. I was literally sitting next to the family that left a one star review 14 hours ago. The guy was literally complaining to the owner the entire time. She was very polite and said don't worry, she will take care of it and offered him something. Honestly the portions are generous and the prices are not high. The Tandoori chicken is like $18. Frankly that's cheap. Seems like that guy was trying to feed a family of 4 with one entree or something. Shame on him. Read all the other 5 stars reviews.

Anyway - best indian food I've found near Bergen Country. We drive 20 minutes to get there. See you soon!”
