It’s a nice place with a welcoming atmosphere. Even on a weekday evening, the tables filled up quickly, which says a lot about its popularity.
I was surprised that the bread wasn’t complimentary, but the soft, delicious butter made it well worth the price. The food was very good, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Wow wow wow. I’ve lived in Ridgewood for 29 years and this is one of the finer restaurants I’ve been to. The food is very good, with a very high price tag, but the service was amazing. I brought my friend and her 2 yr old and this is… not a restaurant for children, but they were so accommodating. They made her small bolognese and had a child chair. I cannot say enough, good things about this restaurant. It completely exceeded all of me and my husband’s expectations both in food, service and atmosphere. The hospitality was incredible. Lula is a consistently delicious and fabulous restaurant in Ridgewood, offering an elevated dining experience. The ambiance is relaxed, modern, and cozy, making guests want to settle in and stay. It is the kind of place bookmarked for nights that matter.
The menu features fantastic, fire food made with authenticity and care. A must-order starter is the incredible, fluffy focaccia, perfect with the chicken liver mousse. Fantastic salads include the apple kohlrabi and kale salad. For mains, the coulotte steak is deeply flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. Other incredible options are the homemade gnocchi, the Ricotta Truffle Gnocchi, the Pappardelle Bolognese, the pork Milanese, and a huge pork chop. The halibut and mussels are also delicious. For dessert, the balanced and elegant lemon tart, the lemon meringue, and the chocolate mousse are all mouthwatering.
The staff is divine, friendly, attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and genuine. The restaurant operates as a BYOB establishment. It is highly recommended and consistently packed, especially on weekends, due to its seasonal menu and culinary delight.
