A Hoboken institution! With the fresh baked and best bread around, this place is a must stop if you visit and a weekly routine if you live here. Must try items include sausage bread and the focaccia, but everything here is heavenly. Local hint: buy a roll / loaf from Dom’s, walk around the corner to Fiores and ask them to make a sandwich on it! CASH ONLY

I visited Dom's Bakery to see what an original Hoboken Italian bakery is like, before they are all gone. I purchased some sfogliatelle pastries which were delicious. The assortment of items is limited. The Tomato pies are unique.

The fresh breads are amazing. I used to live in Hoboken and moved 20 Years ago. I made a trip and Dow’s was my first stop. They don’t make this quality of bread and focaccia anywhere else. It was great seeing the same woman working there. It brought back a lot of memories and my family loved everything. This place is a treasure that you don’t want to miss.

this is by far the best Italian Bakery in Hoboken.Try the white bread Panella (Pagnotta) and the sausage bread. They also make plain italian style pizza (bread, tomatoes and oregano. NO cheese). The owner is from a town south of Naples and knows his stuff!

Check out their seasonal spring menu! So many great options. The spiced lamb toast blew is away. It felt hearty, yet fresh and light

Every year I order over a $100 worth of bread for Christmas Eve, sometimes up to $200. This year it was a small order, due to the pandemic of under a $100. The lady mixed up my order date for thanksgiving instead of Christmas Eve. She left a voicemail, I got back to her, and clarified I only order bread once a year for Christmas Eve, she proceeded to yell at me saying they would never take an order this far in advance for Christmas Eve. My first question every year I call is , “can I place an order for Christmas Eve” and then we continue from there. It is a very simple mistake to confuse holiday dates , whether it was the employee or customer, what is not acceptable is calling customers up and then arguing with them, and then saying you have to pay in full up front if you still plan to get bread on Christmas Eve , as if I’m some criminal that places bread orders and doesn’t show lol. Great bread , terrible service , My family and I will not be coming back here.

A small piece of tomato pie was saved for me from a relative. This was one of the favorite places of my great aunt who is from Hoboken. She is a tough, old school Italian born and raised near by. She always brought the tomato pie whenever the family would meet. It was a staple at her Thanksgiving table with her lasagne. I love the simplicity of it. Baked in a brick oven with fresh tomato sauce with basil and a touch of parmesan. Tomato pie is a New Jersey mainstay, which I happen to love.
