This place is a joke. Walked in at 830 and it was pretty empty. Only one table was occupied outside. We had a party of 4 and two dogs (Hoboken is a very big dog town). The hostess told me they don't have a 4 top to seat us. I asked if she can please put two tables together as it is EMPTY. She asked the manager and they said NO. As they are "closing it soon". I work at a restaurant in Hoboken. I live here too. The outside does not close enough this early. This is ridiculous. I will never bring business her ever again. They must be making loads of money to deny a 4 top for dinner on an empty night.

Omg!! Five out of five for me!!! This was my first time visiting and I was completely blown away with the food. We started with the Tuna Tartare (delish) I had the GV Chicken (delish) my friend had the Parmesan Crusted Bass he said it was delicious and we ended with the delicious ? dessert Tiramisu. The atmosphere was a lil loud for my taste but it is a very nice cozy place….the server could have been a lil more inviting but we can’t have everything lol!!! I will definitely be back soon

A great place to celebrate special occasions or take visiting family and friends for an upscale meal. Cocktails were incredible (Gettin Figgy With It) and the meals were delicious as well. My husband had the GV Chicken and I had the eggplant ravioli. They also served lava cake to celebrate the birthdays at our table which was a nice touch. The only downside to our visit was we felt service was a bit inattentive, we would go for long stretches of time without anyone checking in at our table. Regardless, we already trying to plan a return visit!

Grand vin has great potential, but still leaves a lot on the table.Food wise - I’ve come for both brunch and dinner. The food is… just okay. Of everything I’ve had, the stuffed mushroom appetizer is the only thing I’ll think about. It’s served with creamed spinach and crab meat, which is different than other ways I’ve had them. I’ve most recently I had a veal dish that was listed as a special. The veal was a thick cut of meat. The fish was filling, but I think the potatoes that came alone with it were mediocre.Service - this is where Grand Vin falls flat. The servers are very kind when you speak to them, but the experience as a whole here is still rushed and panicked. The staff nearly run back and forth in the dining room, moving and resetting tables between guests so loudly that it disrupts your conversations and experience. You also don’t get a new set of silverware between courses. I took my dad here in 2023 for Father’s Day and we finished our entire meal (drinks, starters, and entree) in under 35 minutes. Given that the restaurant was still empty at that time, rushing us out just wasn’t the right thing to do. In my opinion, the team needs a bit more self awareness in how some of these small things add up and influence the overall ambiance.

I hosted my sister’s baby shower here yesterday. Amanda was our party planner and she and the staff were absolutely lovely. They were DEFINITELY busy- there were almost 45 of us! But they were kind and patient and the food was delicious. The restaurant looks beautiful and we all had a lot of fun. Thanks again, Amanda and team!

My recent visit to the restaurant left me disheartened. As the only person of color, I couldn't ignore the unequal treatment I received compared to white customers. The staff's attentiveness seemed biased, making me feel overlooked. Even with my white boyfriend present, the disparity was evident. I urge the restaurant to address these issues and prioritize inclusivity for a more welcoming atmosphere. The music alone was simply catered specifically to whites. While I typically write positive reviews, I find it necessary to share my recent experience at the restaurant. It's crucial to address an unfortunate disparity in treatment based on race. I usually don't let race dictate my everyday experiences, but this restaurant's discriminatory behavior compelled me to speak up. I believe not everyone might have the courage to do so, making it important to highlight and address these concerns for a more inclusive environment.

Cool place, okay food. We were there for an engagement party and we were crammed into the entry hallway and they had 2 more parties going on. Not really fair to our group.

We went yesterday to celebrate a birthday with my family and it was such an awful experience. Our waiter was the rudest person and she was so inattentive. I swear we waited for ever just to get drinks and it took forever to get everything on the table. It felt like she hated us and didn’t want to be a be at her job. I definitely do not recommend just because of the service.

They rush you out of the restaurant and do not understand how to serve your drinks before your appetizers.

Excellent food and ambiance but also a bit expensive for what it is. Highly recommend the GV Chicken!

The four cheese gnocchi was phenomenal and the parpadelle with scallops was good. The scallops and the sauce was great. We had the artichokes and also oysters for an app. The artichoke was good but the oysters were probably the worst oysters I have ever had. But the gnocchi made up for it.
