Halifax is a convenient spot for lunch or dinner, though my recent experience left me with mixed feelings.• While I've enjoyed meals here in the past, this visit felt like a step down in terms of standards. • The interior remains appealing and cozy, but I couldn't help but notice a lack of attention to cleanliness, with dusty fake plants detracting from the ambiance.• The food itself was merely average, though the desserts stood out as a highlight, delivering on taste.• The service, however, fell short. While the staff was accommodating and well-intentioned, they came across as overly relaxed and lacking some professional experience.Despite the drawbacks, I may return when in the area due to Halifax's convenient location and generally quiet atmosphere. However, I hope to see improvements in cleanliness and elevated food quality to match the restaurant's potential.

All was well and food was decent… until we couldn’t enjoy it due to the poor service.Does it really take 15-20 min to check-in on a table? The only person that did check-in on us was the champagne boy, but he was being quite weird. After a few glasses of it we told him no more, but he kept pouring it for one of our guests despite seeing he wasn’t in a sober state. Completely ruined the mood. When it came time to pay, the server was super expeditious giving us the check and taking our money. Kind of wish we received that speedy service during our actual meal. To make matters worse, we were waiting for our change and the lady never came. She pocketed that money. It’s whatever, but overall this was by far the worst restaurant experience I ever had. Overpriced and our table only got to really try the samples and two additional portions. Not worth the money.

I went with my family of “6” and the hostess was so rude!!! I asked for a table and she said I don’t have space for you guys but the big table at the end was totally empty… We called a friend who normally comes to this place and recommended it so he called to the restaurant and guess what?? Now the empty table was available for us? I asked a waiter for a scramble eggs for my 10 month baby who doesn’t eat salt… Of course it was outside of the brunch menu and he said I’m sorry everything outside of that menu is going to take more than an hour… Are you kidding me?? BAD SERVICE!!

Halifax is the restaurant inside W Hotel at Hoboken, food was nice, service could be a little bit quicker. Very nice view over Manhattan and the Hudson.

My top favorite brunch spot. The only spot I've been too that actually provides the definition of brunch at a great price. Unlimited food AND unlimited mimosas with a 2hr timeframe while others just provide unlimited mimosas with one entree. Plus its gorgeous inside and out. Seating available inside and outside with reservations. Musics always great and diverse. It's very popular so should book early so you're not stuck on their waiting list.

Went for brunch and the food although unlimited came out room temp or cold (stayed out for too long) and the quality was not the greatest, like the burgers had too much bread to meat ratio, and the pasta was bland. You need the unlimited mimosa to wash it down.

Food was decent and it is definitely a LOT of small plates. Time to go and we asked to take away whatever we did not eat (see picture). I was surprised to see my request denied since the « management team does not allow it ». The waitress then confirmed that the food will be thrown away.In a world where we are trying to be less wasteful to give a better future to our children; and a world where some people don’t have the luxury to eat as much as they need, this is just unacceptable.

It’s a beautiful restaurant and location! The food is average at best! If your looking for a fun brunch to start the Sunday funday it’s the perfect place! Don’t come here looking for a amazing meal! Expression martini was great! The staff was spilt in 2! Either they had great attitudes and we’re trying to help or they didn’t care what happened!

Excellent as usual. Not only is the view incredible- especially at Sunset, but the staff is on the top of their game when you are a customer here…. People checking on you left and right. I love having lunch and dinner here.

Great ambiance. During lunch they have a different menu but may accommodate to you by having a few items from the diner menu available if requested. I had the sea bass tartar which was delightful to my taste buds. The service was well and it was not busy at all during lunch hour. As per parking the hotel is located within the W hotel which provides valet parking or a self parking right across the street.

I had to sit at the bar, and then the waiters hit my chair several times with their feet, with no apology given. What is even worse is that one of the waiters knocked on the table several times for no reason. These are very annoying behaviors. The food definitely is not worth the price tag. I would never have dined here if I had to pay the bill myself.

Disappointing. We went here for Valentine’s Day with my husband. They had a 3 course dinner. The menu was nothing crazy but we decided to try it based on the location we thought it was gonna be nice. My husband got bisque soup starter which had a weird potato flour taste nothing to do with the real bisque soup and then we got beet ravioli and strip steak. Long story short the meals were pretty bad. Plus the dessert ( was supposed to be this lava cake type) - the chocolate inside the cake was super hard couldn't eat it. We paid $400+ . With this price you can have a nice meal on a Michelin star restaurant instead. ??????
