It was my first time ordering from here, and I will definitely be back. I ordered the pollo guisado, arroz con pollo, and tostones. Very flavorful and delicious. The portions were enough for leftovers.

The glare and traffic of downtown Hoboken seem far away in *La Casa*, a homey yet elegant little cafetería which serves chicharrones de cerdo, mofongo, and other platos típicos Puertorriqueños. The staff make a good cortado, strong but not bitter, crowned with just the right amount of milk foam. Tome asiento y disfrute su cafecito as you wait for your order.

I rarely write negative reviews but this is at the very minimum the third time I’ve ordered food from this place and have gone home to missing multiple items I have ordered and paid for. I really do love the food and drive over 45 min just to get this specific place because the food is very good. But at a certain point it is unacceptable to be this carless when packing food orders. This seems to be a common theme here and it’s a shame. I shouldn’t have to travel an 1-2 hours there and back to not have my complete order. Do better please.

Careless and neglectful. Never fail to charge you and not give you the items. Make sure you always check your take out order before leaving cause they tend to always miss a few items

Extremely disappointing. Been going for years and this is now the third time I’ve ordered take out and they never fail to mess up the order. Charged us and then never gave us the items we asked for. We asked for extra order of rice and empanadas and neither came. We’ve given this place grace so many times but at this point it’s just flat out neglect and carelessness.

We enjoyed our lunch. The vibe is so lovely, food was great. We had oxtail, Cubano sandwich (awesome!!) and cafe con leche. Price also reasonable coming from the eyes of Asians.
Las Casa it’s a small little restaurant that seat about 16 people inside. It did have a few outside seating. It was cozy not over noisy so we were able to have a conversation. We had the Tuesday Lunch special - oxtail and two sides yellow rice and sweet plantains. My friend had the oxtail with white rice and Yuca fries. The food was very good. Portion was decent. I would consider coming back again. Price was also decent. Thank you for a good meal.
