La Isla Downtown Reviews
Never had a bad meal in 24 years of living in Hoboken and eating at La Isla. One of the best!
Disappointed long time customer. Drove 30 minutes and paid for parking arriving at 2:15 plenty of time to spare before the kitchen closes for brunch at 3pm based on the website.
When we arrived we were told the kitchen closed at 2pm and they would not serve us. I mentioned the website states Brunch is served until 3pm. The response was the kitchen closes an hour earlier, so no food available after 2pm. Meanwhile, we watched another customer being served his food.

Traditional Cuban Fare.
Good music at an audible volume not blasting like in other Latino joints.
Haven't had Ropa Vieja as good as theirs. The flan was the best I've ever tasted.

La Isla Downtown offers a delightful dining experience with a menu that showcases delicious Cuban-inspired dishes. The restaurant provides a great breakfast selection, serving tasty and authentic food in an attentive environment. While prices may be a bit high, the quality of the dishes is worth it. The restaurant's ambiance is enhanced by the presence of harmless frogs and toads outside, contributing to the overall environment. The Havana club is a recommended option for those seeking an authentic Cuban experience.
