Otto Strada offers delicious and cost-effective Italian food with a twist. The menu features a variety of dishes, including stuffed longhots, bruschetta, mushroom truffle pasta, and spicy squid and spaghetti. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with a small indoor space and a private greenhouse room for outdoor seating. Customers often praise the fresh pastas, especially the linguini with red pepper pesto and goat cheese, sometimes enjoyed with salmon on top. The burrata crostini with caramelized tomatoes is highly recommended, offering a perfect balance of salty, sweet, creamy, and crispy flavors. The eggplant parm is considered the best by many, with thinly sliced eggplant smothered in a rich tomato sauce. Desserts like tiramisu and cannoli cones are also popular, with the tiramisu being surprisingly light and creamy. The staff is warm and accommodating, making guests feel like family. Otto Strada is a great spot for outings with friends and family, especially for those seeking a kid-friendly environment. Although there might be a wait on Fridays, the friendly service and BYOB policy make it worthwhile. It’s seen as a neighborhood gem and a key part of the Hoboken culinary scene that many look forward to reopening.
