A truly disappointing experience. Unfortunately, it seems like the place has gone downhill tremendously since my last visit. With that being said, this will be the last visit. We made our reservation in advance, anticipating the busy Sunday dinner rush. Upon arrival we were told we didn’t have a reservation. Which was okay, because they were able to sit us in the very empty restaurant. Now, let’s get to the true let down. We placed our order with our waitress, she repeated it back as she remembered. We patiently waited for over 45 minutes. When we brought it to our waitresses attention and she admitted they ran part of our order to a different table. Where was the communication? There was none. We continued to wait and watch other patrons receive orders that were placed after us. A proper response to this would have to add urgency to our order. We requested a manager on hour 1 of waiting and requested our bill for the drinks that had come out. We requested the manager a 2nd time and this time I followed the runner to the manager. She offered apologies for the mishaps and comped the food that was never received.

A regular at this point. Easily the best sushi spot in Hoboken and the surrounding area. Aesthetic decor and vibey vibes. Delicious and well priced food. Gluten free friendly (gf soy sauce too.) The staff is so friendly and efficient. Shoutout to Jenny G in the “dark room” keeping us fed and happy. Quick service even when they’re busy. 10/10 recommend.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly

Disgusting and old food. Really Slow service. This place has really went down hill in 4 months. Maybe new manager, chefs or new owner or something because the food looks and tastes completely different than before and before was so good hence why I came back but my experience this time was NOT GOOD. "Crispy" rice was chewy brown colored old rice not crispy it actually got stuck in my teeth at all looked absolutely nothing like the photo I had of it the last time I was there , "crispy" cauliflower has absolutely nothing crispy about them either and taste like microwaved old cauliflower as they are seriously too hot to eat when they come. All Sushi we ordered came on that disgusting pink soy paper and wasn't mentioned on the menu and I had a picture of last time I ordered it where there was no pink soy paper. Salmon Sashimi was completely black in color which is so weird and disgusting. it's sad because I was really really looking forward to coming back there for a while but never ever again.

Way way way over priced. Got 2 apps that tasted awful and two tiny rolls and 2 drinks for 90. That is insane. For that price I can eat way better and be way fuller.Don’t get the shrimp pan seared app or the crispy cauliflower, they’re gross.A tequila soda is $15? Are you nuts? That’s literally a shot of tequila mixed with seltzer. It costs $9 universally. This place sucks

Overpriced and cheap quality! I ordered 3 basic rolls and 2 of them are not fresh, Ive been eating sushi for decades and I know what not fresh taste like! The miso soup is super super super salty, I had to dilute it myself! They charge so much but offered such unfresh food. Very disappointed!

Disappointed. We started off strong with appetizers and took a complete nose dive with sushi. Everything was puréed and tasted like cream cheese. We really wanted to like this place, but alas it was not worth the cost.

They have a nice selection of special rolls which I prefer, but their sushi nigiri is also great. I loved their cocktails and they're not too expensive which is a plus. The atmosphere is pretty cool, like a blend of Japanese folklore and cyberpunk with neon signage. I think the service was my favorite part. Our server was really kind. She realized we hadn't gotten our drink orders (they were super busy) so she brought over two more drinks on the house!

Came here on a Wed night, and surprisingly it had more people than we expected. The ambiance is quite nice. Rather a cute spot. For the food, we got 2 speciality rolls (can't remember exactly) but honestly you cannot really tell much of the difference between the 2. The wagyu beef slides - skip. It's like mini burger (not what we expected) and frankly you really cannot tell it's wagyu or not. The fried lobster egg rolls, skip too. Flavor is fine but no lobster or crab taste. Green tea is basically tea bag instead of the proper Japanese green tea. And the lava cake has no lava. Given we didn't have high expectation on the Japanese/sushi restaurants in Hoboken, overall it's decent. Maybe next time we'll just try some simple rolls/sashimi if we are craving for sushi in Hoboken.

Lost order which was comped. However by the time it arrived I had no desire to sit in a cold restaurant any longer. They did give it to me to go but if you want a decent sized roll, don’t come here.
