Went here for the first time in a few years. The menu was completely changed, it was loud, food quality was down. It's just not the same anymore, really disappointing.

This place is great and overall the food is very good. There are a few dishes that leave a little bit to be desired. I thought the pulled pork sandwich was way too sweet. With that said. they have a great burger and fries.

These are the best tacos in North Jersey. I can’t find tacos like this in nyc either. Who would’ve thought this place would become my go to taco place w my fiancé. Go for taco Tuesday!

After dinner drinks
Seems to have an identity crisis right now. Small menu, removed the steak fajitas. Two tables walked out, one because the two things they wanted they were out of or don’t carry any longer. The other because he ordered a beer and the poor waitress (who was sweet as pie and doing her best but I think the only person working) never returned with the beer. They need help to save this place, to over priced for missing menu items, and lack of service. (Not the waitresses fault.. she was doing the best she can with a smile on her face.). We miss the old Stewed.

Came here a few weeks ago with friends in an effort to have a celebratory brunch on a Saturday afternoon. This came up as an option for us since a few had been in the past and always had good experiences. A while back they used to do a deal where if you bought an entrée it came with two included brunch drinks. The deal these days is advertised as 5$ mimosas or Bellini's as the highlight plus a 5$ bloody. With entrees in the 15-20$ range this isn't a bad deal. Now for where it gets disappointing, we all show up to a basically empty restaurant and are sat at a high top. The waitress comes up and takes all of our orders which includes 4 mimosas/bellinis and our entrees. When the drinks come out one person is left out of their mimosa and ignored. 5 minutes later we ask where their drink is and are met with a simple "oh we are out of champagne, sorry". I am not sure how that is an excuse for never coming and asking if she would have wanted a different drink but either way this begs the question. How do you run out of champagne 1 hour into your brunch special on a Saturday in an empty restaurant. We were told that the manager was coming with a case to replenish soon but in the meantime anyone who didn't want a bloody mary had to drink $12-15 cocktails so needless to say we left immediately after the food (which was par at best). The manager never showed up in the hour we were there and we were not offered any other sort of discount on drinks. After complaining about this to some other friends who were not with us we found out Stewed Cow had changed management and none of them were happy with their experiences there either. So unfortunately another Hoboken gem lost to poor customer service. just too bad we didn't get the memo before we got there.

The stewed cow was our go to place. Our favorite date night or birthday dinner date. The ambiance is nice and they have a cool theme and there is a larger area towards the back if you want a quieter area with a little more space. Unfortunately they changed their menu. We would get the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese every time which they no longer had. Wish they didn't change the menu but still a great spot.

Really went downhill under new management.
This place used to have the best Southern Fried Chicken. It’s no longer on the menu so they get 0 stars from me for being so dumb as to remove it.
There guacamole is AMAZING!! It's so fresh and refreshing at the same time... high quality. They know how to cook a burger. The chef understands the difference between rare, medium rare and so on and so on. The quality of the food overall is high. My party enjoyed the apps and entrees. The decor is simple and the atmosphere is cool; not too loud and you can still catch a great game on the TV while there. Come one, come all too this great place.
