Paid $200 for four salads and four drinks. Experience was just ok. Not at all impressive.
The salads were small. The pear avocado salad was incredibly boring, with barely any avocado or pear, and a near flavorless dressing. The steak on the steak salads was good. Our beers were chilled, but far from cold.
The server didn't write down our order, which is always anxiety inducing. He got our order right (phew!) but didn't remember who got what, which created an unecessary awkward moment when food and drink was served, as it created an expectation that we all knew what everyone ordered, which we didn't. Writing orders down and noting seat position is the only way a restaurant that respesents itself as Zack's does should be doing it.
On multiple occasions servers and bus people tried to take our plates away while we were still eating. No less than three time we had to explain that we were were we in fact not done eat the food still on our plates. We weren't there for all that long, but were made feel rushed because of this.
The music was incredibly loud and there was a speaker aimed directly a our table. We asked if it could be turned down even slightly and the waiter said he could not do that in a way that made it clear this is a common request. Definitely not an oak room vibe.
The bathrooms were clean but showed sign of wear, with the sink support being heavily rusted and a broken towel dispenser sitting on a wet toilet top. Oddly the light in the little bathroom hallway was off while we were there, which created a disorienting situation for every guest in our party when we went to use the bathroom. I feel bad for the table in front of the bathroom as it is so close it was impossible to walk past it without brushing against the dinners sitting there.
Haven't been in 10 years or so, and based on my recent experience I would not return or recommend others to visit. A shadow of it's former self. Certainly not worth my time or money.

I ordered a beef barley soup. It was not made in the restaurant. I can guarantee that it was from a can and I had a stomachache all day and night. Not only that, it was overpriced. So dissapointed!!! Please, start making real food 🙏

Little disappointed after my first visit here. Came over over the weekend for brunch with some friends. Two of us arrived a little earlier then the other two and the host asked us to wait at the bar until our entire party had arrived (despite most tables inside being available). Upon sitting, I overheard one of the bartenders making a comment out loud about a group of 5 individuals who had probably gotten asked the same thing while they waited for their entire- the comment being along the lines of - "5 people and they only ordered 2 cokes, waste of space" which naturally immediately made us feel uncomfortable as we were only waiting at the bar until our party arrived and not planning on drinking during brunch. Upon sitting down, the waitress we had seemed unhappy to be there and even at the end when she was cleaning, dropped a knife and it hit my leg, leaving a mark since the knife had touched food- all she said was "oh wow" and proceeded to walk away. The food was fine, little bland but overall fine.

Have been going to Zack's for years. The food and ambience have always been great. Tonight however, when we went to pay, we noticed two extra items added to our check. The bartender heard us talking about it and took it off, but didn’t seem surprised about the mixup. He then appeared to be joking about it to another bartender.
I can’t say for certain that it was intentional, but it did leave a bad taste in our mouths and they didn’t appear to be apologetic. Double check your bills when visiting.

Zack’s has a nice atmosphere; brunch is quiet enough to catch up with friends and during the day the entire bar looks beautiful. The food was simple and to the point. The steak was a little overdone. I particularly loved the lemon ricotta pancakes. I just wish they had a mimosas offering (bottomless maybe?)

Came for the bourbon & food pairing experience and wanted to give a massive THANK YOU to Nat for her hospitality & attentiveness. I'm pregnant & can't drink (came for my husbands bday) and Nat was just soooo accommodating, constantly checking up on me and so so sweet. Thank you SO MUCH!!! I hope the kindness you showed me multiplies for you!

Worst dining I’ve had in Hoboken.. horrible customer service. We had a reservation and they treated us horribly and had us sit at a table one inch apart from another couple. Overpriced too.

They don’t want to serve you drinks even after spending $200 plus on drinks and appetizers. They want you to keep buying food. I don’t know why everyone keeps recommending this place in Hoboken. Service here is a joke. There are so many better options. Skip this place!

Long time resident but first time diner. The burger was great with a nice crust and beefy flavor. The burger was juicy but not runny which many rushed kitchens cannot master. Great bun with the heft to hold the burger without overwhelming a bite with too much bread. Would recommend and place into the top ranks of Hoboken’s burgers.
