Such a great little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great and the ropa Vieja was so delicious! There is a reason they have been there for a long time unlike many other spots in town. I was there for lunch this last time but it's great for dinner too. Enjoy!

Very disappointed with the service. My husband and I stopped to grab a dessert before his shift at the hospital began. We waited to be seated and no one would come, so he went inside and asked if we could sit outside. After we sat at a table for four, a lady came and said that if it was only the two of us, we needed to move to a table for two (no one told my husband this when he asked). After a while, she came back to ask what we wanted to order. We told her we only wanted to order dessert and her response was: "well, I am not sure if we have flan, let me go inside and find out." She never came back. There was another waitress passing by our table and we told her what we wanted. She ignored us as well. In short, we got up and left. Oh, how I miss the service and warmth of Miami. Every single Cuban restaurant I have been to in NJ since moving here has been a great disappointment, so far from the real deal, lacking "cubanía", so distant, and cold with the clients, and with food that is just a resemblance of what it should be.

Ate here a couple times. The Cuban bread is yummy! Service is ok. I had the chicken noodle soup a few times and it's delicious. I love the fresh cilantro and the perfectly cooked chicken. Fall off the bone good! They put potatoes in the soup to make it more filling. You can also get it with fresh avocado. I've had better chicken noodle soup, but I do really like it from Zafra. The pan con bistec guaro sandwich (steak) is very good! I got it on Cuban bread. Loved it. I'd order both again and again.

I have ordered delivery from here several times. Overall, it's very good. The sandwiches are delicious and the yucca fries were still hot and fairly crispy on delivery. We had the chicken tamales and they were also excellent. ***Do not order the enchiladas, they are very, very disappointing. They are $17, and the portion size is very small. The flavor is just ok, not great. They are supposed to come with refried beans and at first I thought they forgot to send them-then I realized that the tiny container that I thought was sauce was actually 1 tbsp of refried beans. For $17, I expect a full portion of beans and actually think rice should be included, too. ***

They need 2 change there time went at 9:25 & a old rudely man stood infront of me and said may i help you like i was lost smh ! He said he was close and diq cause its a Monday mind you there was 2 people eatin inside i think because the kind of people i was with but smh !

Zafra is just excellent food and great friendly service. The yucca fries and empanadas are my favorite appetizers and I regularly order the Tostadas con Tinga as my main course. The food is so consistent, fresh and tasty each and every time we go. We have tried many of the entrees and have never been disappointed, they are described well on the menu and come out as you would expect. My kids favorite is the dulce de leche pancakes they serve for desserts. Just fantastic. And then of course this is BYOB and they will make any cocktail for you including their very popular sangria and margaritas.
