Has great potential but hampered by spotty customer service that on occasion makes you feel like you are bothering them. I keep going back because it can be really good on it’s best day.

This café has become my favorite spot for coffee. The team is always welcoming and genuinely cares about making sure you get exactly what you like. I really admire that they offer free coffee to first responders—it shows how thoughtful they are. Their lunch options are delicious too, especially the turkey sandwich, which I order almost every time. Always a great experience here!

We stopped here as we are visiting from England and we had such a lovely breakfast!

Delicious bagels and delicious coffee to go with it too. I had a bagel with sausage, egg and cheese and an iced latte with hazelnut syrup. The everything bagel was so so good!

Not pictured but we also ordered the waffles, salmon lax bagel and black bean burrito and they all looked very good too.

Would really recommend!

I used to work at Boro Bean, so visiting is usually a pleasure and blast from the past. My most recent visit was a horror. There’s been a few changes in management since I was employed there, but the most recent change has turned this place downhill.
I took my partner to Boro Bean when visiting my family, and I was embarrassed to witness the lack of professionalism and downright rudeness of the new manager to both myself, my father, and one of her more elderly employees named Andrea.
The new manager, named Bri or Bre (spelling unsure), was straight up rude to poor Andrea right in front of us as we tried to order. I don’t think it’s right to speak to anyone in the condescending manner Bri / Bre talked to Andrea, let alone an elder, let alone an employee, let alone right in front of customers. We put in a big order, breakfast and beverages for four people, so we racked up a high bill quickly. My father changed his mind for his food order and upon asking this Bri / Bre if he could change, she rolled her eyes and was very short with him.
Not only that, but my dirty chai latte tasted like there was no espresso and lacked flavor… felt VERY watered down. I don’t usually complain since I have worked in food service, but I was genuinely convinced there was no espresso. When I mentioned it to the barista, a young man, he countered that there was coffee in it. All I know is when I trained to barista, that drink wouldn’t have gotten by 🤣
The food is delicious! Get a panini! Get it to go and hope you don’t have to deal with an eye roll from management.

The coffee was extremely bad, they did not know hot to make a basic cappucino. Like all 3 of us had to leave our drinks as they were so bad and the bagel sandwich was equally bad

My go to place for coffee. Very friendly staff, and they take the time to get to know what you want. They also give free coffee to first responders. Which is very nice of them. Their lunches are very yummy. I always get the turkey.

I called and accidentally was looking at the outdated menu, the woman on the phone helped me order something similar, and it was fantastic! I think the turkey club panini, sub turkey for chicken and add avocado- whatever she came up with was delicious. Everything bagel really had everything on it, and the iced coffee was solid. Will be back!

Boro Bean Cafe has a nice atmosphere, but I was a very disappointed with the food. It's extremely basic, with higher prices. Food was pretty bland, with no flavor. Also, I was bummed that they were out of a lot of items at 11 am on a Tuesday. It's frustrating when a place doesn't keep its menu up-to-date, as they advertised it on the board. Additionally, service was terrible. The two boys up front were not friendly or helpful when asked about recommendations. I asked for two boxes, he couldn't hear me the first time, after I had repeated myself he shoved THREE it in my chest. Personally I find it very rude and I will not be returning. IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS FOR THE SERVICE I WOULD... what a shame. Overall, it's an okay spot, but IT IS NOT WORTH THE COST. We went spent over 40 dollars, on our 2 plates of bare minimum food. Also the photo of the orange juice and windex just makes my stomach drop. Definitely do not recommend.

The location is charming. The owner (or manager) was a bit curt and condescending with her staff -- which made me uncomfortable -- but coffee was good and the atmostphere was perfect for catching up with a friend.
