Quite simply The Blue Bottle has the best cuisine of any restaurant in the area that I live. And there are quite a few good ones. The only problem I have with them most often is getting a reservation on the weekend. I also have a problem managing culinary heat [a physical rather than a gastronomic one] and I wish I could tolerate more of it in some of their creations. I really recommend the place.
Our party of 5 had a bonus of a 6 month old baby; the staff (especially one of the owners) could not have been more accommodating -- not fussing, just nice. We were all most appreciative.
A bit of a minimalist menu with only 5 - 6 appetizer and entree options to choose from, but each having a unique twist and all being flavorful options. We live 40min away and dined at peak hours on Friday night, so understandably food took longer and restaurant was louder but overall a wonderful dining experience.
