Shaved Ice Restaurants near Howell, NJ

“I have always gone to Rita's in Howell. I stopped by today and had to return the custard. It taste terrible. I was told the owner changed to a different product. The owner needs to to stop wanting to save money on a different product. Bring back the correct Rita's custard recipe. you are going to lose business.“

I asked at the counter and a very nice young woman said I just but the last in a cup in the freezer. I know she probably wanted it. But she gave it to me. Thank you so much. In haste I did not tip. “Great Italian ice!! Love getting them for dessert L’kavod shabbos Kodesh!! Vanilla, cotton candy, and blue raspberry are my favorite as of today!! Gotta try them all though! I remember when the sample spoon was bigger but now we got shrinkflation!! And seriously?? They charge for empty cups?? Give me a break!! But hey, the staff were very nice and the food was great so they’ve got me as a customer!!“

“Love the location right on Main Street. Plenty of outdoor seating and it's nice to walk around Freehold with a cold treat. The custard is rich and creamy, and the Italian ice has real fruit flavor. I got a gelati (custard layered with ice) and it hit the spot.

Only complaint is they were out of a few flavors when I went, which seems to happen often at this location. Also a bit pricey for what you get.

Still a solid spot for dessert on a warm night.“
