9JABUKA is one of the most authentic Nigerian restaurants in Newark. The food is always on point and never disappoints. Dishes like Amala with Gbegiri and Ewedu, Titus fish, yam & plantain, honey beans, Jollof rice, Moi Moi, Banga, Egusi, porridge yam (w/kpomo), spinach, fried fish, native jollof, shrimp fried rice, puff puff, and chin-chin are available. Everything tastes exceptionally fresh, properly seasoned, and deeply flavorful. The spice level is perfectly balanced. Portions are generous. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the serving size and quality justify it. The Zobo is vibrant and refreshing. The atmosphere has a beautiful ambiance, good music, and a clean interior, feeling like a true 9ja buka spot. All staff are professional, covered with hair nets and matching shirts, and service is warm and attentive. If you don’t like what you had, reach out and they will compensate. Parking is limited in front.
