This is a new owner and cook since MAY 2026.... I had Poul nan sos ak diri pwa kongo or stew chicken with rice and pigeon peas cost was $14 for the small but it actually was more like medium size. The rice was perfect tenderness and the stew was very traditional tomato based (but not overbearing) deliciousness. I also ordered the fried plantains (tostones) crispy. You only get 5 for $7 but (it's a little pricey from plantains but inflation is the problem)...This was truly...
I really enjoyed my food at Apanou. I got the griot (fried pork) with rice and beans and everything was well seasoned. The rice itself was savory and not plain at all, and the onions were honestly so good. The griot was perfect to me — not too hard, not too soft, just the right texture. Portions were good
