Today I had the "Jackson Burger" special that has been on the special board the last couple visits. *****(5) Stars! if you like a Char burger. incredible flavor. it also came with onion rings which were the best I've had in a some time. nice and crisp with a breading that breaks apart without pulling the interior (solid) onion out of the remaining ring. Sunrise Diner of Jackson is a cute little local place and a gem. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, with plenty of seating, clean tables, and easy parking. The breakfasts are huge and delicious, with some of the best hashbrowns or home fries ever had. The pancakes and specialty French toast are wonderful. Lunch offerings include good food like a classic delicious burger and a perfect chicken and vegetable panini. There are GF options. Service is often excellent, friendly, fast, and attentive with pleasant staff. Prices are reasonable. However, experiences can vary. Some visits find the staff meh, with no substitutions for some meals, inattentive service, and issues like a disappointing cheese grits or a toasted sandwich from the COLD menu. Cole slaw can lack taste. Yet, many find it a very nice place to return to.
