The service was great! Thanks to a young lady named Kim. She was so nice. The food was delicious. We ordered pancakes, short rib hash & eggs w/home fries. You won't be disappointed. We're such foodies that we may be back for dinnerParking: Good luck finding parking. It took us about 15 minutes to find parking 2 blocks away. However, it was worth it.

This was a delicious meal and a lovely brunch experience. This place is very popular so there was a bit of a wait but they kept things moving and you could order drinks while waiting outside. Everyone was friendly and kept everything very organized. The meal itself was delicious. The Shorty burger and fries was amazing. The shorty ribs were delicious and the burger cooked perfectly plus those fries were incredible. The Chorizo and Guacamole Benedict was incredible. The egg was poached perfectly and chorizo and guacamole perfectly seasoned. What a great combination. We also got the Mac and cheese waffle and chicken. The chicken and hot honey was perfection. I also loved the waffle but it wasn’t really Mac and cheesey (there were some actual Mac and cheese noodles but the flavor didn’t fully translate). Really tasty and would order again even though the Mac and cheese was lacking.I also tried the Irish coffee and it was great and quite strong. The portions were pretty good for the price point and servers/hosts lovely and quick.

Delicious spot in Jersey City! Brunch was amazing. We had the Not-cho onion rings to start and then both had burgers with fries. Everything was amazing. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the cocktail we had ordered as it was a bit sweet (The Perfect Pear) but the rest of the meal made up for it. Will definitely be back!

Went in to breakfast, food tasted amazing. We tried the French toasts & chicken & waffles both were delicious!!! The service was also really great. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the area :)

Went back the second time and we tried the steak and eggs and the breakfast burrito. The steak was a big portion! It was cooked perfectly medium rare and tasted great with poached eggs. The health omelet and the brunch burrito were delicious and great value for $13.99 and $14.99. About 10 minutes wait time on Sunday

Buddy's JC is the whole enchilada! Pun intended. Imagine an excellent pub, diner, and even cocktail bar mashed up together and you start to have some idea of what to expect here.Their menu is extensive, very creative, and delicious, pretty much without exception. The pancake and burger options alone merit a visit but there's so much more. Can personally recommend the burger with peanut butter and bacon, sounds unusual but it's fantastic!! Oh, and the portions are quite generous.Forgive the prejudice but I wouldn't expect a place like Buddy's to know their way around a cocktail but I was pleasantly wrong. The bartenders know what they're doing and produce balanced and refreshing drinks consistently. The coconut spicy margarita is quite good for example.Lastly, the service has always been top notch. The waitstaff are super friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu questions. Always...Go to Buddy's JC if you want an outstanding casual meal at a fair price.

Went for a Sunday brunch, got a table within 15 minutes. Quick service and nice staff. Ordered breakfast burrito, veggie burger and cheesy mushroom omelette. Everything tasted great, the quantity was good and worth the money. Overall, a good place for brunch with a variety of options

Very solid brunch spot in Jersey City. My friends and I arrived around 11am on a Saturday and was able to grab a table easily without any waits. Our server was friendly and was quick to grab our orders. For our orders, we got a breakfast burrito (was able to replace home fries with french fries), french toast, hungry buddy. I'll say the food was as expected - good for price but nothing worth obsessing over. They also serve a decent amount of food so I was able to bring my leftover breakfast burrito back home to finish. We love a good leftover.I'd say this is a safe brunch place to check out if you're around the area.

The breakfast is average. Potatoes are mushy. I had the cheese steak Benedict. Not much meat and it tasted day old. The omelette was good. Mimosa’s were great. Waitress was outstanding!

Poor customer service.. had an altercation with a lesbian worker snatching money out of my hand.. just because she had a attitude .. I guess because my order wasn't the way I wanted and asked for them to redo.. this is my first horrible experience.. disrespect should not be tolerated..

So I was happy to have found a place where they had outdoor seating , was really craving burger and fries and thought I check this place out. Customer service was good. For a veggie burger / fries and a simply lemonade my total was =17$. I thought why dwell over the price, the burger must me good, and yes like one of the reviews posted here, it was bland. It didn't have any sort of flavor, I felt like I should've gotten a burger from BURGER KING!!! Not sure if it was just that their veggie patty that sucked, they had this "spicy aioli sauce " and I couldnt even taste that. But yes, they could've seasoned it properly .. again, if your have vegan or want a much healthier and bland option, you can seek this place out.

Nice lady at the register. Unfortunately she works with a total disaster at the grill behind.

I had their avocado toast and Mac and cheese, both of which were okay. I would give other options a try because they seem to have enticing veggie/vegan options suitable for my diet. The service was a little slow for a day that wasn't busy and they didn't have napkins or utensils for me when I needed it to wipe the extra guacamole off of the top of my to go bag. I wasn't pleased because I had to go next door to get something to clean my hands with, but I won't fault the entire establishment for their one mishap.
