This place has variety of biryanis and north indian dishes and I had ordered dinner from here. Vegetable biryani was so bland with no flavor and tasted more like jeera rice with vegetables. Their chicken biryani was also not good. Chicken wasn't fresh and it wasn't tasty. We had to wait for about 40 minutes to get the order and it was definitely not worth the wait.

Usually order the Biryani Rice. I opted for the Tandoori Shrimp today. I wasted $13.95.. Pictures speak 1000 words...IT ARRIVED JUST LIKE THIS

Absolutely STUPENDOUS! I knew it by the smell out of the door! I walked in, got a basic veg fried rice to test their stock. The box was huge, the flavor was PERFECT. Spivey, Zesty and it was even, nothing too much. I’m going back next time definitely.

Run away from this place! If you feel like eating plain rice and plain cooked chicken then order from here. Worst biryani I have ever had... $30 down the drain .. never coming back... Wish I could give 0 stars! If anyone from the restaurant is reading this - please ask your cook to learn how to make biryani by watching YouTube videos (even first time cooks do a better job).

I don’t want to give even one star for this restaurant. For simple order they take more than an hour to prepare plus they gave my order to somebody else & not ready to accept their fault on top the staff arguing on top of his voice doesn’t have manners to talk to the customers especially to the women. I waited for my order for almost two hours & finally cancelled. Worst experience.

Order from Deccan Spice pls! This was Worst biryani ever!Save yourselves and order from Deccan Spice or Godavari (I have not been paid to say this). The biryani was so horrible.. I do not want others to go through the trauma! We ordered paneer tikka biryani and boneless chicken biryani. We got cooked white rice with lot of oil and cooked pieces of paneer / chicken with it. They have no idea what biryani is!!Worst biryani in whole north america...

I ordered boneless chicken biryani, and it was amazingly good. The Salan and the raita made the perfect blend. Its my go-to spot for biryani near jersey city now.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. It's horrendous how both biryanis I ordered had multiple hair strands coming out if them. It's the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Had to throw away most of both the biryanis. Ordered paneer one and gobhi one. We ordered both on 10/2 so I am sure other people who ordered from there must have had same issues. Extremely disappointed with the hygiene. Please buy hair nets. Feel like throwing up after seeing these hair strands in food.

We visited this place in July 2020 for the first time when we were in Jersey city. Being Biryani lovers, the name "Biryani Darbar" sparked quite some interest. We went in and placed an order for some of the usual Mughlai items (Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken etc) and the Darbar Boneless Chicken Biryani. While the the Mughlai stuff was good, what really took us by surprise was the Biryani. The chicken was tender, well seasoned and the rice was flavored beautifully as well. We loved it so much that we found an opportunity to travel down to Jersey city again just to get our hands on that Biryani one more time !!So if you are looking for a place to get some good Biryani, I would highly recommend giving this place a shot.

One of the best dum biryani with authentic South Indian flavour I have tasted in a long time. Freshly made with thick Mitch ka Salan. Honestly tastes like home cooked masala.

I've tried their biryanis a few times and they haven't disappointed. While this place is comparable to a few others in the neighborhood, I've found their biryanis slightly more flavorful, especially the goat dum biryani. On one occasion I found the meat pieces were too bony with very little flesh, but usually that's not been the case. The meat is tender and lends its flavors to the rice pretty well. Hope they keep it up and I would love to keep ordering!
